this photo shows going from 1/2” rainbird tube into a non-rainbird barbed connector with 1/2” male threads (it ultimately needed stainless steel hose clamps because it did seep a little)

No fault of rainbirds, as I'm sure they were trying to make a kink free hose as much as possible.

the hose is very very stiff, it makes even simple bends difficult.
