I tried several brands of fitting and also used the hot water method

a bit of hot water does the trick.

I turned the water on and the tubing split again further down the line.

Also to attach fittings soak in hot water !

this tubing is the perfect blend of calculated dripping and not wasting water

I have bought soak-er hoses from Walmart that waste too much water

If you have difficulties inserting the tubing in a barbed fitting, just use hot water in a thermos and dip the first 2 inches in the hot water for few seconds.

and no water is wasted

A bit on the thin side so water pressure has to be adjusted and/or connecting ends have to be secured with wire to prevent them from coming loose and wasting water.

I never have to worry if I missed plants while watering or that I might not have laid down enough water

but if you lay it in the sun for little while it gets soft, just be careful not to burn your hands as it gets hot
