The recorder is an easy instrument to start down the road of musicianship

This instrument is very sturdy and the cleaning rod is a nice addition

The only musical instrument I can play is the trumpet which only has three buttons, so this might be a less daunting task if you have already learned to play a similarly-buttoned instrument like the clarinet or flute.
