Razer BlackWidow Mechanical Gaming Keyboard: Green Mechanical Switches - Tactile & Clicky - Chroma RGB Lighting - Anti-Ghosting - Programmable Macro Functionality

    • The green switches were great, not as clicky as blue but clicky enough
    • I got the silent yellow switches and I love them
    • I love the yellow switches
    • I got the quieter switches.
    • The yellow switches are awesome for gaming, but horrific for typing.
    • Orange switches are great, they feel lot like cherry browns
    • The only reason I haven't considered buying Razer keyboards for a while was their loud switches, but since they introduced the orange ones, which are similar to regular mx brown, now it's a good product for me to consider once again
    • Built quality is really good and the Orange switches are so satisfying to press.
    • After letting the keyboard dry for several days up to a month each time, and popping the key caps off the last couple times to clean the switches and keycaps, it's still working very well as far as I can tell
    • Be wary though the switches are really sensitive so be careful about midclick's.
    • I have some experience with Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition with green switches, but the clicky sound annoyed my wife, so I decided to buy this keyboard, because of its yellow silent switches and media keys
    • It does have a tiny magnet which just doesn't work.-Because the media controls are there the caps lock indicator along with the other indicators is on top of the arrow keys with no indication which is which.-Razer uses proprietary keycaps for the bottom row so keep that in mind if you want non-stock key capsPros:-USB and audio passthrough-media controls that are great when they work as intended-Very responsive switches for games, with little resistanceEdit: The media control issue has gotten worse and is making them unusable
    • The Razer Green switches are pretty loud when bottoming out
    • The yellow switches are good if you stream and do not want to hear too much clicky noise.
    • The orange switches feel good and they are relatively quiet
    • The keyboard has a nice feel to it, a good clicky sound (green switches), handy cable management groove along the bottom and a better overall fit with my set up, more so than my old V2
    • Pros: great switches, nice even lighting and bright
    • Just be aware of any defective switches and get yourself a replacement.
    • I have looked into Cherry browns, as well as silent reds and blacks, but I couldn't find a good brown switch keyboard that had everything I wanted, and the latter were complained to be muddy and sticky feeling, so I decided to go with Razer's quietest option
    • Looks and feels fantastic, only complaint is that the orange switches are louder than they would like you to believe
    • Lovely feel...but the Yellow switch is in NO WAY "silent," contrary to its claims
    • I spent a couple of weeks deciding on which keys to go with and decided on the orange switches because I don't like loud keys and the orange switches are the quietest of the switch choices and wanted the tactile hump at the top of the stoke which is a lighter tactile hump than my previous Logitech super low profile laptop style keyboard
    • Razer has definitely got a lot of flack from everyone for their poor switch quality and janky
    • The keyboard felt solid, orange keys and tactical bump was perfect if you like brown switches.
    • If you love RGB and green clicky switches, this ones for you
    • Maybe Razer will soon release one with the quieter Yellow switches, if you prefer those
    • and they are nowhere near as loud as the green switches
    • I have always owned clicky, clacky, loud mechanical keyboards never a quieter switched keyboard
    • It has every feature I want (dedicated media keys, USB and audio passthrough, comfortable wrist rest), great switches (smooth and accurate), and meets all of my needs
    • If you like Razer and a louder clicky type switch, you can't go wrong with the blackwidow.
    • The new Razer Yellow switches feel a bit "cleaner" when pressing down than my V2, but that may have been due to the age of the older keyboard
    • I couldn’t recommend this keyboard enough, maybe the silent non-clicky yellow switch isn’t for you, you could always get an open mouth obnoxiously loud Switch version
    • If you like Razer and a louder clicky type switch, you can't go wrong with the blackwidow.
    • A keyboard with honest to goodness mechanical switches --- who can pass that up
    • I LOVE the orange switches they feel great and dont have that annoying click
    • Overall, this is a nice keyboard that has unfortunately been rendered nearly unusable (to me) by its loud annoying switches.
    • cheap rubberdome media buttonsMechanical switches should mean ALL switches
    • I feel the linear yellow switches are just right for me
    • I purchased the orange switches Tactical and silent
    • Used for typing and gaming, very happy with the feel.- keys are stable (switches have sidewalls and larger switches have additional
    • but it falls short in the software/hardware integration and the proprietary Key switch sizing (which forces the owner to buy Razor only keys).
    • The orange switches are super responsive while gaming, and theyre pretty quiet compared to the green switches
    • Orange switches feel great, colors are bright, works as expected
    • The switches feel like a cherry red and are not Very clicky
    • I bought the orange switch and really love it
    • The changes razors made to this keyboard are night and day the yellow switches are super responsive it's got a smaller footprint on your desk great for a first person shooter survival game
    • I bought the orange switches for the tactile but silent
    • I have the orange key switches and typing is satisfying and quicker
    • Cheap keycap plastic, cheap switches, cheap switch components
    • My only complaint is that the switches (I got the orange - tactile and silent) aren't actually as tactile as I would have liked.
    • My first keyboard had two defective yellow switches
    • I love the orange switches, but we immediately had problems with the media wheel.
    • The yellow switches are far more silent than the green switches!
    • The switches feel nice enough
    • All in all I'd gift these to anyone lookung to game but be sure to know how sensetive they want their key presses cause the switches can make or break your experience if they're too slow or quick for your intended preference.
    • The yellow switches are awesome for gaming, but horrific for typing.
    • and I cannot express how much better the Orange switches feel, they are so
    • I couldn’t recommend this keyboard enough, maybe the silent non-clicky yellow switch isn’t for you, you could always get an open mouth obnoxiously loud Switch version
    • The newer green switches are actually nicer to type on and feel much more solid, not as stiff and wobbly as the previous generation
    • The switch may be silent, but the key presses still make a decently loud clacky clacky as you type since you're not floating on a rubber bumper like the bargain keyboards.
    • I had to quickly bring myself up to speed on the switch options available and decide which one would work best for me.
    • The wrist rest is the most comfortable thing ever, and also with the yellow switches, the click is satisfying but silent, yet it is still louder than other keyboards but the most silent mechanical switches.
    • The orange switches are extremely satisfying
    • Even on the silent switches the keys are still quite loud, which is something to note if you would prefer a quieter keyboard
    • Two weeks after buying, two switches started to breakdown
    • The orange switches are not loud unlike the Green Switches
    • The yellow switches are absolutely faster, but I couldnt recommend them on an RGB keyboard at all, at least not this one
    • Razer describes their Orange mechanical switches as "quiet," and while they're quieter than their obnoxiously loud Green switches, they are really nowhere near quiet
    • The orange switches seemed to be analogous to the browns, but with a lighter touch (45cN as opposed to 55cN
    • Razer uses proprietary "green" switches, these switches feel very similar to Cherry MX Blue but the sound compared to other Cherry
    • Love the colors, love the yellow switches; can't rave about it enough.
    • I love the keyboard but got the wrong switches.
    • Yellow switches are pretty silent, no one complained in my office.
    • The feeling is unique, the green switch feel great
    • I went from an MX Silent switch keyboard to this Razer Yellow and it is much louder, despite yellow being their "most quiet".
    • The linear/silent yellow switches are super duper loud - quite a bit louder than the Chroma - to the extent that I could not use it in the workplace because it disturbed others and made it appear that I was always "typing angry."2)
    • These yellow speed switches are by far the best switches I’ve ever used and cannot go back
    • The razer green switches being responsive and easy on my fingers
    • Pros:I got the linear yellow switches and they feel great
    • The Razer green switches are clicky, but somewhat quieter than Cherry Blue switches
    • Razer's key switches feel cheap after having used Cherry MX for years
    • I have the silent orange keys, and they do feel pretty tactile and clickey, but aren't as loud as their green switches or MX switches
    • I figured no big deal, but upon further inspection the key was actually broken... guess what.. the switches are not replaceable
    • The orange doesn't have quite the same click feel that the greens have, but I'm glad I chose the quieter orange switches
    • The linear/silent yellow switches are super duper loud - quite a bit louder than the Chroma - to the extent that I could not use it in the workplace because it disturbed others and made it appear that I was always "typing angry."2)
    • That said, it still feels great to use, it's heavy enough to not feel like a cheap membrane keyboard, and the Razer green switches are clicky and satisfying to use
    • The green switches are pretty loud and clicky but are very responsive and feel nice.
    • Razer should seriously consider dumping their proprietary switches for Cherry
    • The major problem:This board has the worst switch spring resonance “ping” I have ever experienced on a mechanical keyboard
    • The stabilizers on the keys, and key switches are nice and can be replaced, key caps are very nice
    • I love the new switches
    • Steel Series Apex 3 has proprietary switches too, but ya know what
    • The yellow switches are absolutely faster, but I couldnt recommend them on an RGB keyboard at all, at least not this one
    • The wrist rest is the most comfortable thing ever, and also with the yellow switches, the click is satisfying but silent, yet it is still louder than other keyboards but the most silent mechanical switches.
    • It's not especially useful to manufacture "silent" switches if the keys themselves make this much sound.
    • Perfect orange switches
    • I hope you like it as much as I like mine and thanks for taking the time to read my review.
    • good i like
    • n’t however recommend buying this full price.
