The satellites sound nice and with a little tweaking for the room and your preferences, it sounds fabulous and again, has great power.

The amp has this power-save or noise reduction scheme that turns off all power to the speakers when there is any silence, and doesn't power them back on for almost 0.5 seconds when someone breaks the silence

It is still a 1000 watt receiver & powers very well.

I certainly has enough power to scare the cat out of the room
