Anyone that's claimed this thing isn't loud or isn't powerful probably hooked it up wrong

However, if you're an average person: this thing gets plenty loud, has good bass, sounds pretty good & looks cool enough

One bad thing about this receiver is the fan noise, it is quite loud, like an old PC
