if you think you'll be working with a lot of large books that could topple a stand of this size, you should probably keep looking

If you're willing to pay more then know there are some better book stands on the market.

The stand is very sturdy and can rest at several different angles

If you need a copy stand that can accommodate all types of books and papers, have sufficient space, don’t need the stand to be portable, use it a lot, and are willing to spend more, I would recommend a larger and heavier stand

The two stands I linked below (both are basically the same thing) work better for medium sized books

The stand works adequately for textbooks up to at least 1000 pages that open flat (which most do)
