Not only was I unable to figure out how to edit out the dead space--this in spite of several attempts to follow the manual's instructions--I couldn't even figure out how to fast-forward Audacity's digital copy to the place where the dead space is.

Fairly easy to set up once software is downloaded (they suggest Audacity which is what I used).

Easy to use, just download audacity and you are ready to convert your cassette tapes to either mp3 or wav files.

The app that comes with it Audacity is great for adding ringtones on your iPhone!

After downloading the free Audacity software began making copies to my computer.

Included in the package is a mini disc with software, but if your computer/laptop no longer plays CDs, they give you online instructions on how to get the free software, Audacity

Audacity gives you all the standard audio editing capabilities like separating into clips and storing with all the metadata to later burn to a CD or import into the usual audio library systems

Only thing is you will need to use 3rd party software to make the recordings, but Audacity is free and easy to use along with this product

It does help to have some knowledge of the free Audacity program, but it's not hard to learn
