    • Great product... functions as Chime just like other chimes, and extends the reach of our primary router's signal very well.
    • After uninstalling the device I am getting a better signal.
    • When I raise the chime pro about 6feet in air and place in my window, signal got better, then I found more signal when I place the two antennas horizontally ,also Google search aluminum foil boost at router, note my doorbell is down my driveway on my gate key pad, about 100 feet from house, and my wifi router is at back of my house in my room ,but I do know that the att extender is in the middle of house and the pro is feeding off that sending to doorbell, not quite sure which one did it,but I do know raising it up and placing in window was the start of boost, good luck, cause I was about to return all, until I figure this out.
    • It will buy you a little distance but really needs to be more powerful to solve the weak signal issue or capable of being linked to a 2nd chime device to really increase range.
    • It doesn’t help boost the Signal at all
    • This works but it doesn't improve the wifi signal at the doorbell as much as I was expecting
    • I found this Ring product to do an excellent job of extending my home wifi signal to accommodate all of my Ring products

    • my current wifi system had good signal at front door but the live video did not work.
    • I relocated the Ring Chime Pro to different areas of my house, near to the Ring unit that is a little further out from my router, and the signal still was not good.
    • With the 3 pods it easily transmitted a good Wi-Fi signal to both the external floodlight camera and my tablet.
    • Weak signal became stronger to my backdoor location
    • MUCH cheaper and more reliable than a router extender if your only concern is getting a better signal to your cameras.
    • I linked it with my ring device, which was receiving a weak signal from my router
    • When I called Ring support the RSSI signal from my camera was
    • But lo and behold, it got a strong signal and the Ring Floodlight Cam now works great.
    • As you can see, the ChimePro gets excellent signal but fails to extend it to the Doorbell
    • but you get poor signal
    • Make sure you have a good wifi signal, or get a boosyer
    • Firstly let me start by saying I live in manhattan where there is a lot of competition for the 2.5 GHZ FREQUENCY leading to interference and weaker signals than one would get in suburbia

    • The repeater gives it a strong signal so the video is nice and clear.

    • I plugged it in about halfway between the router and Ring and it fixed the problem immediately by effectively boosting the signal
    • Signal was weaker on this chime pro than the one that came with the ring door bell 2... and a similar one for the garage light was so weak in reception quality the light did not communicate with the router... even though nearby

    • So now, instead of zero signal, I have a poor signal (1 crescent, occasionally 2)
    • At least now I get a steady signal, but its only showing an average signal strength
    • I called Ring support twice and spent hours on the phone helping them perform all sorts of tests, to prove that it wasn't a wi-fi issue (one support agent said it was one of the strongest signals she's seen). Finally, the agent admitted it had to be an issue on the Ring side, it was a known issue (!)
    • Was told I needed to get one from the Ring team due to weak wifi signal, which was causing video delay
    • Since this device does not enhance the normal Wi-Fi signal, my tablet would not work close to the device
    • Had a Problem with inconsistent signal at my video doorbell and chime Pro fixed it at once.
    • You're supposed to get this booster when WiFi signal to the doorbell is weak, but it doesn't make a difference
    • Ring has a spectrum of WiFi strength ranging from -0 to -99, -99 being the worst signal and -0 being the best
    • The second ring doorbell2 is 14 feet from Wi-Fi router and 10 feet from chime pro Wi-Fi and has poor signal

    • So far it hasn't improved signal to my doorbell
    • Using it provides strong signal for the cam even though both devices are outdoors and about 20-25 feet from my router.
    • The disappointing part is that the chime pro is receiving perfect signal from my router and is half the distance to my floodlight than my router was
    • This extender provided worse signal strength than using no extender at all (about -10 points on the Ring device scale), and significantly worse signal strength than using a dedicated extender (about -20 points).
    • A year ago I bought a Ring Doorbell and a Chime (not Pro), and now I bought the Chime Pro Ring Chime Pro, Indoor Chime, and Wi-Fi Extender ONLY for Ring Network Devicesto enhance my wireless signal to the Ring Doorbell

    • I just think that the signal is weaker then before I got it.

    • This device is connected to my router with great signal - however (now remember, this is also an EXTENDER), does not send a good signal to my Flood Light Cam.
    • After purchasing the wireless extender I now have a consistent good signal and everything seems to work very well.
    • I got the pro chime because the connect with the ring outside my garage was getting bad signal
    • What is most baffling to me is the floodlight does not work at all without a strong enough Wi-Fi signal.
    • It just seems like a gimmick that the doorbell showed a weak signal until paired with the Ring Wi-Fi extender ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
    • Returning this and the junk ring video doorbell too since it won’t ever connect with a perfectly good WiFi signal.
    • Purchased mainly to receive a stronger signal to our video spotlight cam which is about 50-75ft from router.
    • Save $20 and just get the Ring Chime and a real network extender to improve your wi-fi signal.
    • Needed this to extend our wifi signal as I kept getting messages that the signal was not strong enough
    • Wireless signal ranging from 0 (perfect) to -99 (very weak)

    • One of my Ring video doorbells had a weak signal
    • I always had to reconnect my wifi due to lost signal , but now never a problem , only thing I could wish for is wish I bought this as soon as I bought the ring .

    • After installing it the signal was much better
    • When I installed the Ring Pro Chime the signal was very good
    • it boost my ring floodlight camera signal, l love it!
    • Both the ring and the ring pro are within the prescribed range with a 45 RSSI which means the signal is fine.
    • It’s literally 2.5 feet from the door and it actually made the WiFi signal to my doorbell WORSE than my router that’s on the opposite end of the house
    • It did not boost the signal enough though the chime had a very strong connection to the network
    • You need a strong WIFI signal to make this work.
    • It did not boost the signal at all.
    • I have a Wifi extender (Apple Time Capsule) and get great signal through out my house yet when I installed my Ring Pro Doorbell I was showing a weak signal even though I have always been able to use my laptop outside and have great signal

    • I needed something to boost my wifi signal to the front door for the Ring 2 Doorbell
    • we had to move it several places through the home to get the best signal.

    • Signal to my doorbell pro and security camera were weak
    • As you can see, the ChimePro gets excellent signal but fails to extend it to the Doorbell
    • Often you will get a much stronger wifi signal from your main wireless router, which may be further away, than this device, which can be 10-15'closer
    • It is practically right next to the router and gets a worse wifi signal than the doorbell that is 3 times further than the chime
    • I followed the instructions and the Chime would not connect to the Wi-Fi because the signal was not strong enough
    • Weak signal became stronger to my backdoor location
    • MUCH cheaper and more reliable than a router extender if your only concern is getting a better signal to your cameras.
    • We also had hoped it would help boost the wifi signal to the Ring doorbell to allow the audio to improve, but it does not help that at all.
    • my current wifi system had good signal at front door but the live video did not work.
    • This thing was about three feet from my router (which does 2.4/5 a/b/g/n/AC) and the annoying recorded voice that sounded like it had a sinus infection said it couldn’t connect due to poor signal strength
    • When connected, the range extender gets great signal from the router, but provides less signal to the doorbell than the router does
    • Only NEGATIVE issue I had was that I needed to remove a piece of my aluminum trim behind the doorbell 2 to get a strong enough wifi signal for the videos to play smoothly.
    • I have a fantasticly powerful WiFi with a strong and fast signal
    • I bought a non Ring repeater and now my signal is good at the doorbell and the chime.
    • After I installed the signal was very good.
    • 2.4 G is the best signal for Ring 2 & chime pro

    • I pop open the app and see really poor signal even though router and Chime Pro are very close
    • Ring doorbell says weak signal even if it’s in clear line of sight to the
    • I contacted ring and was told the chime that ring sells to enhance the signal to their cameras whether it's a floodlight camera like mine or a doorbell camera to make them work better
    • Finally, tired of the intermittent signal, I got an outlet strip and had to dedicate half the space for the Extender to lay flat on it
    • It will buy you a little distance but really needs to be more powerful to solve the weak signal issue or capable of being linked to a 2nd chime device to really increase range.
    • We found the optimal place to put it in between the router and the doorbell where it still got a pretty solid signal from the router and good speeds, and most importantly I could take advantage of the 5G band
    • The pic shows my iPhone 8 on same WiFi network getting great signal for being outdoors ... both up and downI tried different
    • I had a decent wifi signal before adding

    • Now I have a good signal and my camera responds quicker.
    • Signal was weaker going through the ring door bell router .
    • This level does not provide adequate signal strength for the product to be very functional
    • Very disappointed with the results: in spite of the small townhouse, no matter where I positioned the chime, the signal was poor to either of the cameras
    • According to the manufacturer support line it’s a device of last resort if your Ring cannot maintain a strong signal with your Wi-Fi router.
    • Doorbell said it was getting a weak signal, so I added this chime as per instructions; didn’t make a difference
    • I have a really good wifi signal in my home and have tested this system with ZERO other devices connected and it makes no difference whatsoever, my home is a standard wood construction and has no factors that would cause issues with wifi interference (as an example I have a nice wifi enabled outdoor speaker system connected to Prime Music that works well over 100' away from my router with zero problems ever)
    • I highly recommend this product to you if any of your Ring devices are not receiving a strong signal.
    • I had a choice of adding another wifi point to my Google wifi network, but it was a 3rd the price cheaper to just get the Ring wifi extender since it was only the floodlight cam that was having weak signal issues

    • My signal at my Ring Doorbell was consistently POOR and while it always worked I wanted to boost the network signal to ensure there were no problems

    • I have two cameras linked to it and one always says poor WiFi signal
    • Need a strong WiFi signal but otherwise works good.
    • Are you not getting enough signal where your ring is installed
    • It really boosted the signal and solved choppy audio and video
    • The second reason was to improve the WiFi signal to the doorbell
    • I live in a historic home with thick walls that impeded the WiFi signal from my router to my new Ring 2 doorbell, thus the video feature was nonexistent
    • but all my wireless devices are connected to the same router with the strongest signal
    • and I was getting a weak signal.
    • Despite claiming to be a solution for weak signal strength I found that the range of this device is not that far
    • Then I had to add a WiFi range extender which now helps improved the WiFi signal
    • Overall it did boost my signal and added additional chimes/doorbell sounds when motion or bell is activated.
    • After trying the Ring WiFi extender for 3 days the flood light only received worse WiFi signal
    • Purchased the Ring Chime Pro, signal improved significantly plus I have an indoor notification (other than my phone) for motion alerts!
    • Previously, I had issues with freezing frames or tears in the video due to poor signal strength.
    • Works great, boosts the signal and also chimes for movement at the front door and rings in the house when someone presses the Ring Pro Doorbell
    • In my instance it was necessary to locate the Chime Pro HIGH in a room -- desktop height didn't enable it to improve the signal
    • and I figured it would improve the signal
    • Our wireless signal was weak for the spot cam so I bought the Ring Extender and the spot
    • This device really helped boost my WIFI signal to reach all the way through the house and outside for my cameras.
    • No matter where I put it it did not boost the signal
    • It keeps losing Internet connection and when it has a connection the signal to the doorbell is much weaker then if the doorbell is connected to the wireless router directly
    • Still didn’t boost signal save your money
    • I purchased the Ring Chime Pro for this purpose and it works beautifully to give the doorbell a good wifi signal
    • They connected, but no longer have very good signal, it's just good now
    • Boosts WiFi signal, adjustable in-house ringer, easy to set up.
    • I tried it first by plugging it into the back wall of the downstairs, only about 25 linear feet from where the camera is mounted over the garage, but even there the signal was weak and streaming was almost non-functional
    • Needed to boost signal due to layout of house and location of doorbell from wi-fi equipment, works very good with this addition.
    • Looks like I'm going to have to add a better wifi extender to get a stronger signal to a couple of the cameras
    • However despite having a very strong WIFI connection/signal, the devise is not always quick to respond to motion or activity at the door
    • We purchased this to boost the WI-FI signal to our Ring doorbell which is located about 50 feet from the router
    • I've gone from "poor" and OK" signal strength to "good" and the video is loading much faster and consistently.
    • They work well with a good wifi signal and a high speed internet connection
    • So I ordered this chime pro as it's supposed to boost the wifi signal and put it right in the living room
    • It helped boost my WiFi signal to my Ring doorbell.
    • 1st one bought didn't improve the signal
    • I thought by adding this chime to the setup would boost the signal enough to get a better sound and video quality
    • It’s not even far but the signal is weak.
    • I installed this thing and connected my Ring 2 to it and the signal was WORSE
    • because there’s an alley behind my home thru which the back door can be approached, completely avoiding the strong wifi signal doorbell cam, the back cam is the valuable one
    • I now use it as a chime (massive lag because you guessed it, poor signal)
    • Purchased the Chime Pro because I wanted to boost my signal to thevRing flood lights cam in the front and the Ring stick canera in the back
    • For the most part, it works as expected, but the signal is still weak sometimes
    • Still having a horrible Ring signal in my home.
    • Placed within 10 feet from the Doorbell 2 and boosts the signal MAYBE 10 RSSI.I did not believe all the negative reviews on here and took a leap of faith

    • It keeps saying like it cannot connect to my Wi-Fi network because of poor signal
    • I got this to improve my "Good" wifi signal for my Ring 2
    • and I was receiving a good signal with just my wifi by itself.
    • It also helped to boost my wi-fi signal to my Ring doorbell.
    • Unfortunately this only improved my rssi by 10 and the doorbell still isn’t picking up a strong enough signal
    • All Ring devices connected to Chime pro with good, or very good signal, but video was unwatchable
    • so I had to set up a Netgear to boost the signal
    • Needed this to boost my signal for the ring doorbell and it did just that
    • I bought the Chime Pro because my router is located in a back bedroom too far away to give a good wi-fi signal to my Ring Pro doorbell out in the hall of my condominium.
    • Not a very strong signal on the WiFi boost.
    • When I added the Ring Chime Pro, the signal improved.
    • Buyers beware!I love Ring and the products they make but this one
    • Isn't 5G compatible like the New Ring Pro doorbell.
    • Works as it should and easy setup
    • Ensures the ring product works as it should.
    • However (you should have expected to read more), the video and audio was still choppy, it just wasn't as bad as before the extender was added
    • I am not sure it is as strong of an extender as I would like.
    • Added accessory, very happy with it, now have in house doorbell as well as on the phone.
