I did the installation alongside a new stereo, which apparently makes the sub install a lot easier eliminating the need to wire into the back speakers

As one reviewer stated, this sub can be punishing and still remain clear.

The sub remains very balanced throughout the volume spectrum and does not overwhelm the other frequencies which is important to me.

Can't recommend these subs enough.

This is the perfect balance for this setup, every single song sounds so crisp and the sub really hits those low notes well and the frequency varies accurately with the song (instead of a one-note thumper like a kicker)

Absolutely perfect 12-inch sub

Unfortunately after modest use for only 12 months, the sub somehow overheated and caught fire inside the box, which completely melted the wiring and rendered the amp and cone useless

This little sub resolved that problem and more

Downside is not having sub on dedicated channel but you can adjust for that

So i recommend running these subs through the stereo rear outputs on head unit , and just control the crossover on the amp

I'm well aware there are much louder subs out there, but if you need anything more than this you better be winning competitions for money or you're just that annoying kid who has to drive through neighborhoods at 2AM playing rap as loud as possible on 2 cheapo 12" 1000w subs

The sub itself is good, but mine came with a defective volume controller, and this seller (avsoundz) is treating this like a regular return, when I have already installed the sub and don't want to return it, just the little controller

Sadly this sub is more than capable of producing clear crisp lows if cracked a bit however you have to deal with the horrible distortion cause by the woofer fighting the box and being overdriven by an amp that's not properly suited for it

The only problem I have had with it is in extreme cold the sub will not work until it has heated up (usually won't work in anything below 0)

Not as accurate or tight as a spec'd out setup - sub,amp,enclosure - but that was about three times as expensive when I did it, and this is within 60-70% of what that was capable of
