Beats Guitar Hero and Rock Band by a long shot

The song learning progression is similar to Guitar Hero where the easy setting have you playing a skeleton version with a few notes through the song.

I would say I am an intermediate guitar player who also has enjoyed older Rock Band and Guitar Hero releases

To me, it's like Guitar Hero or Rock Band with a real guitar

it's like guitar hero on a whole new level

There's also a score attack mode reminiscent of guitar hero

This isn't like Rock Band or Guitar Hero

It's exactly like guitar hero but with a real guitar

I highly recommend this game to anybody who liked the idea of Guitar Hero, but would rather invest the time in learning a real instrument than how to use a game controller.

It's more tool then party game and if that's what you are looking for I'd recommend Guitar Hero or Rockband

I was excited to possibly play a 'real' Guitar Hero / Rock Band on my Xbox One

Those familiar with the Rock Band or Guitar Hero games will find the format very intuitive, but MUCH more challenging in the more advanced levels.

It's frustrating and fun at the same time though because you realize that you are bridging the gap between guitar hero and actually playing a guitar

Learning to play basic riffs is similar to the format used in the Guitar Hero games, only for a real guitar

So if you're looking for something more arcade-like, look to the Guitar Hero franchise or Rock Band

The Rocksmith franchise is a niche product as it caters to those who really want to learn to play a musical instrument but enjoy the playing format of Rock Band or Guitar Hero.

First off, this isn't no Guitar Hero, and that's good

I see this game as beginner friendly, as well as, for more advanced players

The default has the low "E" as the top string and this can seem to be helpful at first but it will really throw you off then you start to use TAB books.
