Roku Premiere+ - HD and 4K UHD Streaming Media Player with HDR

    • , Roku Premier+ has NO APP FOR AMAZON
    • Good speed with good apps make this the main input to my TV.Not super-thrilled about the preset buttons on the remote again, but I do enjoy the headphone jack.
    • The experience was good, although the apps didn't get updated to support new features very often (but the damn thing would connect to Sony to see if there were updated versions of the
    • The giant Ad on the home page is fine, stop installing unwanted apps to my account.
    • It worked perfectly out of the box, but 10 days later there was a mandatory automatic update and half the apps stopped working
    • and I wanted a device that would offer me the widest range of available streaming apps or channels.
    • Not so, delays changed from app to app based on display mode on the TV.
    • No worries about the remote, use the app on your phone for the same features as the Premiere plus remote
    • The device turns the TV on, works the apps... but THAT"S IT
    • The smart phone youtube app also allows you to cast videos to the screen which seems to be a little more stable right now since the mirroring capability is quite new.
    • No issues using the same apps with a Roku 3.
    • Pros- fast and Netflix app is awesome- remote
    • The apps on my 4K Samsung TV are faster and more reliable at this point.
    • I like that my AppleTV has a sleek remote, voice control via Siri, and no advertising on the home screen; however, the entry level AppleTV still cost $150, and there is no Amazon Prime Video app available for it, so i can't watch a service I have a subscription to unless I use the Prime Video app on my iPhone and then use Airplay to get it to my HDTV.The simplicity of the Roku - from setup to the remote control to the customizable home screen - makes it an excellent choice
    • Works great lots of free apps child friendly easy to use
    • the Amazon Video App is a major app and it not working correctly is enough for me to recommend this product with caution
    • All apps are user-friendly
    • UPDATE: I previously rated the Premiere+ with 2 stars because other apps were working properly and the player is relatively easy to set up
    • Dropping DirecTV after having used the Roku - with the many apps available we don't feel we really need the satellite anymore.
    • No other apps that I've used have this issue,
    • This makes the Fox Sports, NBC Sports, NFL on Amazon, and ESPN apps unable to be viewed without interruption every 10 minutes or so
    • The only effective way to watch this content is using the even slower and clunkier apps included in the TV (Samsung).
    • The iOS remote app is great
    • Like the apps
    • , the remote app is still great, more choices for screensavers (now you can choose your own photos or their 4K ones), and when you connect headphones to the remote it doesn't skip or stop working
    • I love how when you go to search for a movie or show, the app switches to a keyboard so you can type much faster than using the arrow keys to select individual letters
    • Even the image quality for Netflix is much better than using Samsung's smart hub app which comes with the TV I'm using.
    • I even use it to watch how to make this and that on all the free apps.
    • Best content (in terms of available apps).
    • Now apps work wellEthernet connection makes for a more stable connectionThere's one really big negative, however:When Ethernet is selected instead of wifi, the remote loses pairing with the Roku box if it (the remote) enters sleep mode.
    • Dedicated app buttons (paid for) do not belong on the higher end models
    • After reading through many reviews for various options, I decided on Roku for ease of use for the tech-phobic among us, and that it seemed the most versatile in the number of apps/stations available.
    • When I compared the quality to my smart TV apps the TV apps were clearly better.
    • It does have some strong positives:Plex app makes it really convenient to stream movies from my media serverNetflix, Acorn and
    • I have a high-end Sony TV that comes with Android TV (which supports HDR), but it's slow and some apps (like Amazon) are pretty bad!So when it comes to Roku, the biggest PROs are
    • Android app or full siteConSpecific apps hang up sometimes
    • User friendly APP that can function as a remote makes searching really quick and easy
    • The remote control is wonderful but the Android app is even better.
    • The only bad point is that no apps are available for the TNT and TBS channels
    • I also love the Roku app on my smart phone which some apps allow you to use for searching and faster input rather than the tedious clicking of one letter or number at at time using the remote.
    • The Youtube app definitely needs an update to allow searching using the Roku remote ( other apps seem to allow this, but it doesn't work with the Youtube app).
    • A device you can't actually turn off, needs to be turned off frequently to get apps to continue to work
    • While the system worked out of the box there were several apps (primarily Sling TV) that did not work which was quite disappointing.
    • once vizio updated their firmware and I was able to access the most important app that I used the roku for (netflix, hulu, amazon and youtube) on my tv directly, this roku box became unnecessary for the most part
    • But this has been great addition and lot more apps.
    • but Plex is one of the most important apps for me
    • The thing I don't like is each app seems to be controlled just a little differently with the remote.
    • The streaming quality (in my limited experience) was excellent, and there are many more apps available to download than were available on my Smart TV.
    • Easy to set up, user friendly apps, quick response time when channel surfing, I highly recommend Roku!
    • , Roku Premier+ has no APP for VUDU in the so-called "Channel Store
    • The Netlix APP and YouTube APP don't exhibit any problem at all--Just the AMAZON APP.
    • Some apps work a little better than others, but I really feel that boils down to the app designers themselves and not Roku
    • the mobile app makes it very easy and convenient to use.
    • workingthe mobile app is so delayed that you can never get to where you want because you'll tap the buttons too many times thinking it's not
    • The apps also run very well with no slow slow downs from my experience so far
    • I had high hopes because I like Plex Media Server and all the apps available
    • Much simpler on the Roku and honestly you don't need any fancy screen you just need to FINE the app
    • Works well but could be a tad bit faster when switching between apps Good seller
    • The remote (with headphone jack is awesome), the available app is great and makes searching and playing content even easier, it searches through all the media services you've added (Hulu, HBO, Amazon, Netflix) and gives you the price if you can't stream for free
    • * Some apps (like Hulu) do not even show progress bars (you have to guess the ones you've seen if you watch out of order);* Remote control has no TV OFF button, so you always need to use your tv remote for that;* Integrated search doesn't really search on every app, and the voice search (for people that have ultra or old gen) is not as good as with Google and Apple.
    • Also, the 4K UHD channels would periodically freeze as though they were buffering
    • Have purchased the 4K yet but works as good as or better than the 3 on 1080p
    • I would like to upgrade my TV with a 4K Ultra 2080p as soon as I can afford.
    • After 20 minutes of excruciating fun with Roku's offshore "read from the script" tech support, they finally issued an
