Roku Streaming Stick (3600R) - HD Streaming Player with Quad-Core Processor

    • The device has tons of downloadable "apps" for streaming from various platforms... and there are even several free watching apps that don't require a subscription to outside sites
    • I don't bother with cable, just use my apps and have everything logged in on my roku.
    • I haven't had any issues loading the apps
    • Other than that, the apps are easy to navigate and set up, and it does what I need with no delays.
    • Best apps so far to download: PlutoTV, NBC, ABC, Freeform, Showtime Anytime, HBOgo and Amazon TV!
    • If Roku opened up a little to allow some of the more popular android based apps, it would be the perfect streaming solution
    • but the apps are not very accessible to the
    • I get less interruption if the internet is spotty and I absolutely love the Roku remote app for your phone
    • In other words not really smart at all and pretty useless the apps since you can't upgrade anything
    • you have to use a smart phone and remote app to do this
    • This works well but apps are a bit limited compared to what I see using a FireStick.
    • We use Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO, and Showtime as well as many of the free apps including ABC News
    • The app is great and consistent
    • The mobile app is great & easy to navigate
    • My Samsung Smart TV apps, specifically Netflix and Amazon still stream perfectly
    • It is intuitive, easy to use and not cluttered with a bunch of unnecessary apps and the like, unless you choose them
    • So I had a chance to test all three and what I found is the Roku stick has much more memory and speed then the other two and if you're looking for live channels or even free Channel apps then Roku stick is the best choice out of the three.
    • The good news though is that you can download a ROKU Remote App for your smartphone which works perfectly with the streaming stick
    • It's remote and the smart phone app are both superior and easier to use
    • Poor connection, limited apps
    • Why have the hard coded, specific, apps on the remote (I do *not* like that).
    • The android app works just fine as a substitute for the remote, still annoying and there isn't an obvious replacement part for the remote.
    • Wife wanted Philo streaming, which works but Roku can improve the app for Philo by adding a guide.
    • The Andoid app works perfectly as a remote and to use with headphones.
    • I was able to temporarily remedy this by using the Roku mobile app on my phone to work as a virtual controller.
    • Very intelligent device, after downloading the ROKU Remote App for my IOS device, I was happy to find out that I can listen to Audio on my Device while watching the video on TV Screen
    • The only option is to control the Stick with my smart phone app which does work fine
    • I particularly love the Xfinity app.
    • Love that i don't have to worry about having an app because there is a remote
    • I've been using streaming video services through my blu-ray player, but you can't update that either, so the apps are old and it's slow
    • I have found many useful apps on the Roku app store as well
    • Although, if you use apps like Netflix primarily, the interface won't be used much, at least in my experience
    • (Although the app works too!
    • Most apps doesn't work in Denmark
    • The app is much better than the remote, and private listening with headphones while still watching on a TV is a killer feature and the most compelling reason to upgrade
    • But the Roku offered apps that Amazon didn't so it won out.
    • Love the remote app and private listening feature.
    • I Love the Roku apps and games that are available
    • I bought it to replace, which struggled to run apps like NBC Live Extra and ran old versions of popular apps like Netflix
    • Firebox has stronger connection, more apps, easier to download, more memory.
    • Lots of good apps
    • Some apps in it work better than others.
    • Previously had a Roku 2 box, that ran very slow and many apps had glitches that updates couldnt fix
    • It's a roku stick, works as it should, nothing better on the market for this price.
    • works as it should.
    • It had to be unplugged from the Tv in order to unfreeze it but froze as soon as it was plugged in again and booted
    • Within weeks of the positive review I gave it, it started failing to respond to the remote control, and locking-up while scrolling through programming choices, as well as in the middle of programs.
    • Flawless A+++
    • Works as it should...good product for Multi-Media watching.
