    • Goodbye ridiculous cable bill!!
    • If your power outlet isn't directly below your TV, the included cable may not be long enough
    • Love the wifi boosting cable, and being able to control power and volume with the Roku remote is handier than you might expect -- I wouldn't want to go back.
    • Faulty power cable!
    • (Roku offers a free short HDMI cable, but it must be ordered online and will take time to arrive)Setup took a few minutes by following a series of onscreen prompts, confirming with Roku.com
    • My old cable was pretty lousy, I could hardly ever find a good movie to
    • I have always thought having cable was ridiculous because you pay so much and are always saying “there’s nothing on.”
    • Because Roku made its failure-prone proprietary USB cable essential to the unit with no ability to adapt, extend, or replace it, these units are not worth your time or money.
    • After a while the Ultra would reject my new cable and refuse to show the streaming video I was trying to watch.
    • I could not access my cable channels on it and the roku customer service phone number has a recording that says it has no telephone customer service for this model
    • Yes! cable free
    • We ditched the expensive cable bill and are enjoying so many wonderful shows and movies, all for free
    • Got rid of a stupid Cable box and saved $8/mo

    • Cable is getting so expensive in our area, and is going up even more in a few days, that we finally decided to "cut the cable".
    • I am amazed that expensive cable companies are still in business, if everybody knew how good Roku is they would be out of business in a month.
    • In able to use a HDMI cable that is HDCP 2.2 compliant as the Error page indicates, you must first plug your ROKU SS+ into the input of a HDCP 2.2 compliant HDMI splitter, then connect your 2.2 compliant cable to one of the outputs on the splitter to a HDMI input on your TV.
    • I love my Roku, it is a great alternative to the expensive cable.
    • Original review:I bought a Roku Ultra (and cut the cord from a terrible cable company) three years ago, and since then, I have invested in other Roku hardware products, including a Streaming Stick +
    • All tv's come in as good, or better than cable
    • The only negative in my particular experience was that the available power cable was not quite long enough to reach the power outlets, so I used the usb power functionality in my 8 year old Sony LCD TV, and while it may have been completely a coincidence, as the performance of the streaming never seemed to lag or deteriorate in any way, the TV screen suddenly showed a full vertical line of dead pixel near one its corners mere days after first using the Roku.
    • So much better for streaming MLB as well as major cable and local networks
    • Love love loveCanceled cable
    • Tired of paying the increasing cable bill - for the 300+ stations of which were mostly duplicates or foreign-language versions of the others (not to mention all the shopping channels that are useless to me) - I cut the cable, opted to test ROKU because of what I saw some friends had while using it, and I do NOT regret it at
    • It worked great (5 out of 5 great) for a week, and then the mini USB port broke on Roku's proprietary wireless signal extender cable; now the device is useless because replacement cables are unavailable, and standard mini USB to USB cables are incompatible.
    • I'm hoping it's just a faulty power cable and Roku can send me a replacement.
    • I dont think I will ever miss cable.
    • So happy I switched from expensive cable
    • Who needs cable or satellite especially if you can’t afford it
    • Once connected to the hotel WiFi it’s as solid as at home and brings your ability to relax after a long day of “vacationing” to a whole other level being able to watch shows you’re actually interested in, instead of grainy hotel cable
    • I have an excellent a/c wifi router, which is a large part of a Roku or any streaming players ability to stream today's high bit rate action videos.
    • works as they say it should.
    • I replaced it with an Android device (Tivo Stream 4k) - it's slightly less intuitive at first, but supports every service under the sun as far as I know
    • I have the issue when it is plugged into the TV directly, as well as when plugged into a surge protector
    • This problem is apparent on Prime Video via HDMI as well as on the Prime Video app installed on the LG OS.
    • I use this with my Tablo Over The Air DVR, as well as with all the streaming services
    • It basically works as it should, great 4K video.
    • YouTube works well and pretty much the same as on any smart TV
    • The interface isn't as clean as
    • Works exactly as I'd hoped.
    • It simply works as it should.
    • Sad l brought it cuz certain reviews says it comes with the "Directv App" when it clearly does not
