Roku Streaming Stick | Portable, Power-Packed Player with Voice Remote with TV Power and Volume

    • All other apps work and stream fine.
    • Just like everyone else, Netflix works just fine using the same connection on all my other devices and all the other apps work just fine on the Roku
    • The app was also quite responsive when changing channels [I would say faster than the cable box], as was the cable guide
    • It has different apps than the firestick and works just as well
    • The fire stick doesn't support the Spectrum app, so that was a deal breaker
    • If your a Comcast users right now there is a Xfinity Beta Streaming app available on Roku meaning you do not need a comcast box on that TV to watch different channels.
    • But as far as functionality of the viewing and surfing experience, it has really great apps
    • Both work well with Directv Now app but the firestick wins out in this one.
    • Great apps available, including VUDU for your copies of digital (Ultraviolet) movies
    • 2) other apps including SlingTV work fine with this stick as well as my other device.
    • We have Samsung TVs and not too fond of the Samsung Smarthub as it's often times missing some streaming apps or are not up to date with app interfaces
    • so app for Hulu did not support the new live hulu
    • Then there are the offerings, more than enough apps to add to satisfy most any viewer, young and old and most anything in between
    • My preferred app's only appear, making the selection screen small and uncluttered.
    • I wish FireTV would go back to supporting YouTube app, FireTV is so much smoother
    • Many popular apps to choose from.
    • All other apps work just fine
    • There are so many great apps, like Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu...the list goes on
    • I love streaming all my shows on my favorite apps!
    • Only problem is on one I am having some issues with Netflix but all other apps work great and even Netflix works on the other one with no issue.
    • Only problem is on one I am having some issues with Netflix but all other apps work great and even Netflix works on the other one with no issue.
    • Glad I got this, makes using all apps easier
    • I love it and love the remote control app
    • Also, has other great apps like Netflix, Hulu etc.
    • spotify app is laughably bad
    • With this, the menus are clean and your apps are right where you would expect them.
    • The new Roku is a delight to use and facilitates almost every app out there.
    • Awesome apps and simple to install
    • Wile we do not have the Alexa control we enjoy through our Firestick, this Roku app does natively support the Spectrum app.
    • There are free streaming apps that are available for it also
    • Pretty much every app I’ve thrown at it has been flawless
    • I’ll be scrolling through the home menu, not opening apps just the roku screen, and it’ll randomly freeze and have to reboot
    • When the Roku performance shows any sign of a glitch [won't load an App, freezes while playing content from an App or down-shifts the resolution of a video stream] I check what that streaming service looks like on my PC and there are never any of those issues.
    • Plenty of free apps
    • I've been struggling with Hulu and my FireStick, the app wouldn't load or it would freeze
    • Her 4K HD TV doesn't have the capability to add apps (Dumb idea, Samsung!), so until now, she wasn't able to watch Plex
    • During set up process it is not clear which apps are free and which are pay to view.
    • Many apps to choose, some free.
    • Other needing a slightly better remote, the setup is great and it has great apps.
    • Makes audio glitches, overheats, the controller won't work every so often and the apps just stop working once or twice a day
    • I truly believe Amazon intentionally sabotaged the Netflix app on the Fire Stick.
    • Great free apps.
    • I also have more free apps and a remote
    • Roku doesn't have any "politics" behind which apps are supported, which does make it really nice
    • Unfortunately, the Fire Stick does not support the Spectrum TV app.
    • YouTube, Netflix, Hulu... each one works as well as any other app version I've ever used
    • The reason why the ROKU, because this is the one and only media stick which supports the Spectrum cable app and we can watch all the channels what they provide and we are paying for it already
    • Don't forget you can find all the popular apps like Netflix, Hulu, and so forth.
    • I re-sold my two Fire sticks because they lack these apps.
    • Some apps are better than others, but that has nothing to do with the device itself
    • Love all the different apps and games.
    • Easy to use, many different apps and channels available
    • Anyway the unit itself works fine, I can use the app to control it but not the remote - an obvious remote issue
    • Every app I use on the Roku feels snappy and responsive, with immediate feedback.
    • Since we have / pay for Xfinity, basically any channel we would want to watch live is available as an app in the Roku store; then you simply login with your cable credentials
    • The biggest surprise for me is that apps which were very buggy and poor on the Fire stick (VRV, FXNow, TruTV, and a couple others) have had absolutely no problems on the Roku
    • BluRay player with Netflix streaming (old, very slow app, so-so video),b/g/n router
    • I do not like Roku app on the Iphone
    • Rokus own app is great
    • Don’t bother, apps either crash or don’t work.
    • Also, so many apps available for immediate use.
    • I never have connection issues and the remote makes it easy to access my favorite apps
    • We have Spectrum and the app is available on Roku.
    • The fire stick doesn’t have the Spectrum app available, Roku does
    • Easy to install, easy to use, flexible app setup
    • Any free content that came with the Roku by way of its free 'apps' (channels), are not anything we care to consume (all old shows/movies), so it's not a standalone content provider for us.
    • Don’t bother, apps either crash or don’t work.
    • but i cant even use my Spotify account, which i pay for because the app is not available on
    • Easy to use remote and the best companion app
    • Many apps available and able to use just one remote for both Roku and TV
    • The free app also gives me greater control over searching and adding to watch lists or entering passwords with the ability to share media from my smart phone or tablet with a room full of people
    • Furthermore, Roku has a great mobile app.
    • I was thinking of connecting my chromecast up and keeping both of them installed on my tv just so i would be able to use apps like Spotify, Soundcloud and maybe another one but in order to that, i would have to connect my chrome cast to another hdmi port but also plug the other end into a wall socket which i dont feel is
    • Netflix does not work as of the time of buying this.
    • Although YouTube doesn't support it as of now, I like that this Roku remote has voice command
    • Provided me access to Hulu, when my older TV with the Hulu app built in; as well as when I tried to use an older Roku which Hulu would also not work
    • I found it easy to set up my pre-existing accounts as well as to find many many other channels to choose from
