Roost Laptop Stand – Adjustable and Portable Laptop Stand – PC and MacBook Stand, Made in USA

    • This means the Roost is more compact than the Nexstand, and for me that is a bonus - the extra inch that I save in my bag means I can stuff an extra pair of socks in that space! When expanded though, the Nexstand’s extra inch of length makes a big difference in that it appears considerably larger than the Roost
    • I love my Roost.
    • but the Roost should work with any laptop.
    • Whether you want a laptop stand that lives on your desk most of the time, and occasionally joins you on the road, or a stand that lives in your bag because your desk is never in the same place twice, the Roost is fantastic.
    • Both the Roost and the Nextstand will work well for keeping your monitor at an ergonomic height whilst using an external keyboard
    • The Roost has eliminated my chronic neck issues
    • I love this Roost
    • In terms of weight, portability, stability, and laptop height, the Roost is superb
    • I have both the Roost stand and the knock-off Nexstand and prefer using the Roost stand every single time.
    • I love the roost.
    • The Roost started from a Kickstarter campaign in June of 2013, and it worked so well that it later spawned a couple of imitators
    • The roost stand folds up into and extremely compact size, perfect for anyone who is on the go or needs to use the stand in a variety of places
    • It suggests the Nextstand can hold a thicker or wider laptop than the Roost, but the Roost is still very capable despite its smaller size
    • Roost wins here
    • I received my Roost Laptop the other day, and I love it!
    • So while the Nextstand is very similar to the Roost, I would say that the Roost is demonstrably superior, both in terms of its packability and its ability to adjust its grip without the use of external shims
    • Obviously you can only use it with an external keyboard and mouse/trackpad (not included), so the portability of the laptop is somewhat compromised, but the Roost is the slimmest and least intrusive of your expanded workstation.
    • I have severe cervical radiculopathy and the roost has been a lifesaver for my neck and arm
    • I have both the Roost stand and the knock-off Nexstand and prefer using the Roost stand every single time.
    • Of the laptop stands, the Roost is the best for people on the go
    • The Roost can support that heavy beast, even with all of my various cords and connectors (and a 4-port USB3.0 Expresscard) plugged in
    • The Roost is a functional masterpiece of stripped-down mechanical design
    • After recently seeing a colleague using a portable Roost laptop stand, I decided to give one a try
    • That would seem to make the Roost the more favorable option, but then I notice that the Roost’s plastic back has a middle plastic ridge sticking out (see red arrow on image 4) - perhaps the result of the manufacturing process or a quality control issue?
    • The Roost provides extra luxuries such as rubber paddings and a more compact frame, but for the price it’s slightly more difficult to justify - if the price point doesn’t bother you
    • Road or home, I'd highly recommend the Roost!
    • Bought the Roost Case for Keyboard, Mouse, and Roost too - great to have it all in one place.
    • And I'm thrilled with usig my Roost at home too, as it (with the 3 height settings) allows me to work much more comfortably with my MBP elevated nicely side-by-side with my 27" external monitor
    • The Roost makes working on my Mac air significantly more comfortable
    • It's also scary to put the Roost on a surface that doesn't have much depth, like a coffee bar top, since the back of the stand could slip off the back of the table and send your laptop tumbling
    • Roost is slim, like super slim
    • Roost is not the envy of my coworkers who are pledging to buy one for themselves.
    • The Roost costs $75, not inexpensive for a laptop stand by any standard
    • I couldn't find any product as portable or effective as Roost, so I gave it a shot
    • I love my Roost, really convenient stand that I can fold up and revel with.
    • I carry my keyboard and mouse with me as well as my Roost
    • The Roost is excellent
    • The Roost could be more affordable, but you gotta pay for convenience and innovation.
    • but the Roost clearly wins here
    • My macbook is enclosed in a plastic case, top and bottom, and the Roost handles it no problem
    • Roost is great
    • After my 1st full week on the road my Roost, along with a new MKB and MT2 for my MPB, I'm thrilled
    • Durability & Sturdiness:With these stands, the Roost feels really robust and solid when you first pick it up
    • As far as durability goes, the Roost wins again for durability and sturdiness
