The Rapid PRO is better made, looks better, and feels more substantial in the hand.

The Rotring 800, the Rapid Pro, the Pentel Graph Gear 1000, Uni Shift, Pilot automatic, Retro 51 Hex, Lamy Econ to name a few.

This ROTRING rapid pro turned out to be a throwaway as well.

I was hoping to get the nice " heavy metal " old rotring , the rapid pro is nice and still looks like the old one, but iit has this sliding pipe that for those who still draw the old fashioned way, is a real lead breaker
