Getting sick of the cheap plastic pencils I thought I should get something nicer.

They also used to come in a nice unique plastic case with a large "O" (for rOtring) button on the side that you pressed to open it, with short smooth cushion inserts at each end to hold and guard the pencil when stored.

It took me a while to get used to it, since all my previous experiences with mechanical pencils were with cheap plastic pencils
