However, I cannot help but gravitate towards the heftier weight of the Rotring

The mechanicsm is smooth and never had any lead getting stuck, the tip is a serious problem, you are paying for a pencil that costs $30, but when your tip breaks you will be looking at an obsolete paper weight.

Nothing made of plastic can compare to these, the weight and balance is simply superb.
