Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus Video Converter for PC

    • Returned this because it would not burn DVDs in spite of installing a Windows 10 patch.
    • (and yes, the computers and DVD player work just fine with known-good DVDs.)The printed and on-line “support” consists solely of telling me all the possible things that might be wrong with my PC drives, my DVD player, and my blank DVDs; no help whatsoever in troubleshooting possible problems with the Roxio hardware/software
    • The software bundled with this product (Roxio's Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus) burns DVDs by default in a non-U.S. format (PAL) that consumer DVD and Blu-Ray players sold in the U.S. market are not able to read
    • You do need a VCR to play the VHS and then a computer that can burn DVDs
    • I;m making excellent DVDs from VHS tapes.....and I'm so glad I finally bought this.
    • Running Windows 7 Home Premium on Gateway i5 at 3.00 GHz with 16GB RAMRecorded several old VHS home movies played on a Sony SLV-779HF VCR first to my hard drive, then burned the DVDs later using this software.
    • though..I wasted a few blank DVDs before I realised you must start the tape to the point you wish to begin recording..hit the pause button on the VHS machine just at that point, then you must hit the red record box on the roxio screen and wait for it seems 30 seconds or so until it says " recording" and the timer for the recording starts
    • Also, the software can be used to create and burn DVDs (it can make a DVD menu, and you can combine multiple videos into one DVD) or you can simply record the video input directly to a file and save it to your computer.
    • Trying many option to make this second option worked failed and resulted in three unreadable DVDs.
    • I had trouble getting the program to burn DVDs - I would receive an error message every time I tried.
    • There are no settings in the software that allow you to force the software to burn DVDs in the U.S. format (NTSC)
    • Only burns DVDs that play on computers but not on DVD players..
    • I have an older Sony Handycam and wanted to transfer my videos to my PC and burn DVDs
    • Roxio was able to save the VHS movies to my computer, so I purchased another program ($30 more) to burn DVDs
    • Because of this, I find I prefer to burn DVD’s of compiled videos using another software
    • It recommends using S-
    • As for using this product, I couldn't get the S-Video connection to work, but I don't know if that is the fault of Roxio or my VCR
