Roxio Easy VHS to DVD Burning and Video Capture for Mac

    • I will most likely be returning this product since it doesn't work as advertised.
    • Worked as advertised, I'm using an imac 5k with no issues, I connected the device to a USB hub (2.0)
    • As originally purchased, the product had some bugs, but Roxio issued fixes within a week or two and it now works basically as advertised
    • Now that I've gotten that out of my system, I can tell you that with the latest beta release software, which will probably be finalized very soon and made available on their support site, it mostly works as advertised (other than the pesky iMovie
    • It never seemed to work as advertised, and when it did work, it invariably rendered choppy video that cut out every time there was the slightest flaw in the video tape playback
    • After that everything work as advertised.
    • It also doesn't work with iMove HD as advertised.
    • Works well as advertised
    • Product worked exactly as advertised.
    • The product doesn't work as it did not record the audio from the videos tapes
    • The transfer of the VHS was easy enough, but the only option was to save as a .mov file, which does not directly burn to a playable DVD
    • Video quality is acceptable; not quite as good as on the T.V., but not too bad.
    • Source used was home movies on VHC-C. Quality was the same using 3 different devices and multiple cables ( 2 VCR players and original camera used to take videos).I had originally tried a V-Top unit by Fly Kan and while their captured video and sound was excellent the device failed after only about 10 minutes
    • (Let it be known, for I am proud to say it: I do not use, nor do I recommend iMovie, iDVD, or any software which starts with a lower-case "i" for that matter.)
    • I had no difficulty using this product, my only complaint would be with the poor quality of the DVD which I suspect is associated more with the original quality of the tape and the Composite video connector that was used as there was no S video connector as preferred.
