I was able to open the charging port and charge my phone just fine with the case on

There are no specific issues with this case,it just didn't work for my particular phone because it kept turning the volume down and when I would turn it back up it would go back down right before my eyes...it also kept putting my phone in "safe mode" which kept causing issues as well

The case fits tightly and well, hugging the phone without adding too much extra bulk to the phone.

I later found the style labeled Armorguard, Armor, or Armocase, that have the more rubbery wrap around that I have on another phone, a Samsung Galaxy S3, and that cover has protected my phone when dropped for the past three years

I have dropped my phone on its face a couple of times and the cover suffered a little bit of scraping (outside, rough concrete patio) but did the job it was meant to do

The gel-like inside will definitely protect your phone from those minor drops.
