Great device.

I especially like the buttons that turn off usage for stagnant attached devices.

Kind of defeats the purpose of getting a hub because you still have to unplug other devices to free up ports

Even with the power cable option, running more than one device is hit or miss.

Originally this device worked really well.

The device works as desired and is small and light

The Sabrent includes a wall adaptor power supply that allows this to charge more powerful devices, although this can be used without the power supply as well if you choose

I have couple of external hard drives and other devices that I only use occasionally

This is a terrific device, and it does exactly what it says it will do.

I've tried many other hubs from Insignia, Belkin, GE, Gearhead and so far, this device is holding steady

I recommend this device to anyone that needs a four-port hub.

this is likely less of an issue if you keep your computer and devices stationary on your desk.as this device enable me to free up a usb port, i can work around this, but wanted to mention it for those thinking they can use it for usb external hard drives, YMMV.

A USB hub is also important when working with custom or questionable hardware to help protect your computers ports from being damaged by a defective device.

if you are looking to have more ports it is a ok device and will work just not as good as it says.

Although Sabrent is a generally good brand, this device did not work right

Good 4-port hub that allows me to connect multiple external drives at once as well as other USB devices

In other words, save for some obsolete devices that you probably don't have, this will handle all of your USB devices more likely than not.

Powered mode when required has supported every device I've tried to far

This 4 port device works almost perfectly, but even with this small problem I give it 5 stars.

I incorrectly assumed that the device was faulty and asked for an exchange which was thoughtfully overnighted to me

I have used many Sabrent products and I expect this device to be durable and of the same high quality.

The device itself is very convenient to use

The cable is stiff and the device does not sit flat on surface

If I remove the Sabrent switch from the equation and plug said device directly in - it works at 3.0 speed

USB 2 devices work through it just fine although they don't operate at speeds any faster than 2.0 allows

Disable that device and reboot

Had to return this, because even though it is supposedly powered, it didn't do a great job powering my devices.

This appears to be a solid device that does its intended job

Having only 2 USB ports on my laptop, I wanted to use this hub to easily connect several devices to it, but apparently this device has absolutely no reliability to work with such important and sensitive devices like external drives, so I came up with the same issue of having less USB ports available than I need just like before buying this hub.

Very good, solid device that allows transfer between 2x USB drives when using the hub with its provided power adapter

Portable, USB 3.0 hub with optional external power supply -- only needed if you want it to charge devices like an iPhone or iPad; otherwise it is self-powered for things like hard drive or USB stick connections

Just make sure not to plug in (4) devices at once-- if the total draw is greater than spec... like an external HD + a iPad + (2) iPhones... that's too much.

The keyboard is a Logitech K800 and doesn't have an issue, so both are newer devices and Win 10 compatible.

This is a really good USB-3 multi-port powered device which you really need with laptops and express cards.

If you unplug without ejecting the hub, my CPU doesn't like it and has issues reconnecting the devices later.

I use this device on one of my Dell Laptop USB ports and really like the way it works

But with my laptop, I have a limited amount of USB ports, so this device did add a few more to my repertoire and works exactly like it should

When I purchased the Sabrent Powered USB hub I thought it was going to be handy device for connecting all of my USB devices to the PC.

I plugged the device into a USB port, depressed the button for port 1 and it's LED lit up

I had this same device without 110 power and it doesn't work well on a Suface Pro because the USB busses are not adequately powered.

Overall the device seems solid, and I use the on/off buttons on an almost daily basis and they have not failed yet in 6 months, which was one of the worries I originally had when purchasing.

For the price it works well however some devices even with aux power do not work.

This is the best and most useful little device ever

I can now charge four devices from one outlet, Also, the device is compact enough that I can stick it to the wall above the outlet with 3M tape to save even more space.

This device works very well, exactly as advertised and with the optional AC line attached it powers all my USB devices instantly including my WD Passport drive which was not recognized by my previous non-powered hub

The separate power supply never worked, so my devices only charged at a trickle.
