Sabrent 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub with Individual Power Switches and LEDs Included 5V/2.5A Power Adapter (HB-UMP3)

    • If you are trying to use more than one external hard drive with your Surface Pro, this port is ideal.
    • Totally solved my issues with having only one USB port available on my computer!
    • I have a Dell computer and a Mac and neither one has enough USB ports to satisfy my uses
    • The original Hub I received had a defective port, specifically the port closest to the power cord port
    • All four ports drop out and lose connectivity.
    • Only 2 of 4 ports work
    • Kind of defeats the purpose of getting a hub because you still have to unplug other devices to free up ports
    • Also, it says every port has a power indicator LED, but on both units only 3 of the ports appear to have working LEDs
    • After many trial and errors, I plugged a device I wanted to use and a new port appeared in device manager with the number assigned to that device as the port number
    • I have tried multiple USB hubs for my new laptop that doesn't have enough ports, and none of them would recognize several peripherals that I need to use on a daily basis.
    • The first port only works when you plug this into the computer
    • After putting up with several drop outs daily and intermittent loss of drives for the past two years... finally found another 4 port hub made by W·Z Super Speed 4-port
    • If you are purchasing this port to make your desktop USB slots more accessible to you for a desktop PC, I would highly recommend a USB 3.0 male-to-female extension cable.
    • For me, it was worth the purchase price and has made my life a bit easier now that I don't have to bend down beneath my desk for a free USB port.
    • One port was completely dead, did not light up or supply power
    • Very handy with on/off ports if you use a backup disk some times
    • this is likely less of an issue if you keep your computer and devices stationary on your desk.as this device enable me to free up a usb port, i can work around this, but wanted to mention it for those thinking they can use it for usb external hard drives, YMMV.
    • I had to remove a star due to the annoying 1st port 'malfunction' issue when using the power adapter
    • There's no mention in the technical description at all that the external power supply will only power three of the ports (the three right ports)
    • I ordered this mainly for the Power Adaptor and switched ports which works very well, however USB 3.0 devices connected to it do not connect as USB 3.0
    • I have one unresponsive port at the end part of the device and when I do manage to connect it, the device is disconnected with just a single tap at the switch
    • I like it just be careful that you don't put too much load on it or your pc will shut off the port that the hub is plugged into but for an external HDD, a card reader and an mp3 player it works fine
    • One I recieved had a bad port
    • I was a little confused at first because like some of the other reviewers, I thought that the first port was not working.
    • Great little 4 port USB 3.0 Hub
    • Very good product , it turned my useless USB port which disconnect itself and turns " unrecognized" by Windows after 30 seconds of use , turned it into 4 functional USB ports with great connectivity with no hussle ( I am using it for : wireless keyboard& mouse , data transfer , USB light bulb , and for whatever : charging, printer etc) and 4 ports would work simultaneously with no troubles
    • The 4 ports works when directly connected via USB
    • The ports on the side keep stress off the
    • IT REPLACED AN OLDER ONE THAT WOULD NOT ALOW ME TO USE A PASS PORT EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE
    • The port closest to the cable was dead
    • Mine came with one of the ports dead
    • Anker makes a seven-port hub that has worked quite well for me, and none of this low power nonsense.

    • In addition, the 4th port did not work with my Logitech USB wireless mouse, but the other ports did
    • First one had a one bad usb port, returned it
    • The unit I received had a dead port
    • Apparently when connected to the power adapter alone the port 1 LED does not light up and unlike ports 2,3, and 4, only lights up when the device is connected to an active USB port on a powered up machine
    • I like the very compact size of this hub, as well as the individually powered ports.
    • the ports didn't work from
    • Good 4-port hub that allows me to connect multiple external drives at once as well as other USB devices
    • Good four-port usb hub
    • It did not come with a power supply, but oddly enough the power supply illuminates all 4 ports.
    • This 4 port device works almost perfectly, but even with this small problem I give it 5 stars.
    • I have not tested the speed, but assume that it meets USB 3.0 specifications when plugged into an appropriate port
    • Although it does work as an extra 4 usb ports it does NOT work with my hard drives even though it says it should on the box.
    • I have two Corsiar GTX thumb-drives and because they are wide you lose one port... so could only use 2 out of the 4 ports... not good.
    • Very nice USB port
    • I haven't tried using it without the power adapter but it works well with my Surface Pro 3.update: one port stopped working after 1 month, now at a little over 4
    • so I'm only left with 2 free ports
    • A USB hub is also important when working with custom or questionable hardware to help protect your computers ports from being damaged by a defective device.
    • I just had too many needs for USB and not enough ports
    • Great multiple usb port with power.
    • Build quality is nice, and the port seems to support 4 devices reasonably well
    • I bought to use specifically with the adapter, and all ports are working
    • 3 of 4 ports quit working within a month
    • All four ports work exactly as described and the buttons at the top are switches to turn the port on or off
    • Item arrived ok, not all ports worked
    • The first port (closest to the cable) doesn't work.
    • I have the other two ports occupied as well
    • Eventually, that port failed completely.
    • And I still have one USB port available, if I need it for something.
    • Individual on/off switches controlling each port makes this great for things like data recovery since you may want turn drives on/off at different points without having to physically unplug them
    • Having only 2 USB ports on my laptop, I wanted to use this hub to easily connect several devices to it, but apparently this device has absolutely no reliability to work with such important and sensitive devices like external drives, so I came up with the same issue of having less USB ports available than I need just like before buying this hub.
    • I was concerned that my 450 power supply might have issues powering this new device, thus, this Sabrent, with its own power supply was the perfect choice, I had bought one of these a long while ago, for a newer computer, and have experienced no problems, the port off/on switches make this hub worth the money
    • When this port became flaky, I immediately tried the drive with another USB hub, which has been working perfectly
    • This Sabrent 4-port USB 3.0 Hub works with my Windows laptop & tablet.
    • 2 ports on it did not work.
    • I have all ports in use and working it pretty hard with usb midi devices and external drives
    • Gives me the extra usable USB ports that I need.
    • Plug-and-play setup and USB 3.0 speed make it a great port to expand the available USB ports on your computer (my Lenovo had just 2, inexcusable, and this was a necessity).
    • Second one had all bad ports
    • I just wish there was a toggle for the lights that didn't disable the port.
    • Sometimes it's a little glitchy when using all 4 ports, but works fine with 2 at a time.
    • Hint: if there is an overwhelming amount of complaints about faulty usbs connection/ports pull the item from production and fix it or forever lose customer.
    • this works great -- never seems to be enough USB ports on my laptops!
    • Obviously, the power adaptor with its 5v boost is most helpful when charging high output devices or a necessary stand-alone in a situation where there are no powered USB ports available.
    • This is a really good USB-3 multi-port powered device which you really need with laptops and express cards.
    • All ports work, and have no issue's charging 4 devices at once.
    • The first port didn't work: LED didn't illuminate and device didn't get power
    • Bought this for my Xbox One to plug my hard drives into so I could free up a USB port for the Kinect
    • The buttons on this are pretty wobbly/loose and one of the ports won't even turn on, not sure if that's due to a bad button or bad port, but the LED won't turn on and it won't power my device
    • I had an issue with the item I received and had been contacted by a rep of the company that quickly replaced the defective unit (one port was not connecting).
    • Very nice USB port multiplier
    • For the amount of money spent on these they can't be beat and do as good of a job as more costly ports I have when not overloaded with to many item plugged in at a time
    • Usually, external drives won't work unless they're plugged directly into your laptop or PC, which becomes a problem if you don't have enough USB ports to go around
    • solid little USB 3.0 port
    • I used these to gain more USB 3 ports on my gaming PC, and had to buy a USB 3 extension cable in order to mount this under my desk
    • First port at first didn't light up when switch depressed, then when it finally did didn't work at all.
    • 1 Port (input)Supports transfer speeds up to 5Gbps (USB 3.0), 480Mbps (USB 2.0), 12Mbps (USB 1.1)2.5 Amp power adapter included to power up high powered devices
    • , the other ports may not work as well
    • I had to split my used ports between the 1st and 3rd to get the Sensor to register properly.
    • We needed the extra ports to get an Oculus working, and this worked great.
    • , the other ports may not work as well
    • Great little powered 4 port USB 3.0 hub.
    • Also the ports are too close together to allow most thumb drives to use adjacent ports, so with this 4-port hub only two or three ports are usable depending on the physical size of the thumb drives.
    • Wider than normal you lose a port
    • I keep looking at the picture and it does not seem like there is a port for the DC and the picture looks exactly like the version I received minus the power cable in the bubble
    • For the amount of money spent on these they can't be beat and do as good of a job as more costly ports I have when not overloaded with to many item plugged in at a time
    • Update -- after using this hub for a year, the 2nd port failed
    • Only the last three ports take advantage of the eternal power supply an the greater charging current available from it
    • Sometimes this port won't support an external hard drive (it needs too much current?)
    • The first port didn't work: LED didn't illuminate and device didn't get power
    • Love this product for a compact, powerful port!
    • n’t be any problem
