Sabrent 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub with Individual Power Switches and LEDs Included 5V/2.5A Power Adapter (HB-UMP3)

    • I like that I can use either powered or not powered.
    • All port switches glow when on, and external power is supplied to hub
    • Like that it is powered
    • Don't need to blue screen for insufficient power
    • Tried using it with two external hard drive at one time and it required the power adapter to work
    • This 4 port USB 3.0 hub is similar to the Zero Lemon hub with the included power switches for each port along with a blue power indicator LED for each
    • The reason was simple, TV was unable to supply enough power to both the devices at the same time
    • When I work on my MB, I disconnect the PSU from the wall outlet to kill all incoming power
    • Was looking at hub that allowed SSD and 3.0 USB Monitor to work together without power loss and this little hub was able to handle due to the plug in power great product
    • Solved our issue with not enough power to the USB devices
    • Once powered up again, it works fine for about another two weeks.
    • Very nice powered USB Hub with on-off switches for each of the 4 ports
    • The Sabrent includes a wall adaptor power supply that allows this to charge more powerful devices, although this can be used without the power supply as well if you choose
    • Power On... turns on the drive when ready.
    • Computer Techs recommend installing a USB card to a PC when powering large external hard drives
    • Plugged my Seagate external hard drive into it and it will not stay recognized by my Surface Pro 3 - which I assume is due to not enough power
    • Excellent powered USB hub
    • I lost my power adapter that came with the product, so I re-ordered just the power adapter (5V 2.5A 100V-240V to DC), but using the adapter resulted the same
    • I have some USB 3.0 portable HDs and could not access them due to not having enough power from my laptop
    • I know when all power is drained from the MB because a yellow trickle power light (on the MB) goes out
    • PRO:-relatively inexpensive-power inputCON:-power supply cable is very loose and prone to falling out.-integrated cable is short, cannot be replaced.-made of cheap plastics, showing mold imperfections, gaps, etc.
    • However, the power supply that came with the Hub does not provide enough power to charge..
    • Extra power also is nice but not sure how necessary it is for me.
    • It did not have enough power in the usb ports to power it, but this powered usb hub solved my problem.
    • Nice powered hub, works well.
    • Sorry, can't use this because users are RIGHT, any disruption does cause a power fluctuation that CAN and HAS knocked out external HD's connected.
    • The Sabrent hub has individual switches and more than enough power to insure the proper operation of MIDI and iOS devices
    • Which when music is playing and the screen is on, does not provide enough power to charge the device
    • The power adapter for one of them is flakey in that depending on how the power cable is bent, the unit may or may not have power
    • The ports will randomly not pass information, and/or they don't have enough power to power my items even with the AC adapter plugged in
    • I like the very compact size of this hub, as well as the individually powered ports.
    • An On/Off Switch on each USB port of the hub, a Godsend after losing a brand new $49.95 Kindle Fire (that was plugged in with constant power flow for 14-days, my bad), which died just a few days after the Fire's warranty expired, becoming our first ever disappointment with ANY Amazon-sold product
    • It did not have enough power in the usb ports to power it, but this powered usb hub solved my problem.
    • If there is enough power for the ports, there is no voltage/amp difference on which port you plug it into which is a problem on cheaper hubs
    • I like the LED power light up, I like the 4
    • works great, powers everything I need with a reliable connection
    • Overall great little unit and the added DC power supply ensures you have enough power to supply to all your devices.
    • My Mac Air has enough bus power to power the devices, but I went ahead and plugged in the hub anyway for good measure.
    • My raspberry pi micro computer doesn't have enough power to run my USB portable hard drive
    • Nice hub to power all my power greedy USB exploits.
    • Works well, powered allows me to run an additional monitor that I couldn't without it being a powered hub
    • I would definitely recommend ordering the power adaptor package because these things can slow down or not provide enough power for power-hungry accessories just using the power from your computer
    • Requires both USB power, and plug power to provide power to connected devices, other than that, no complaints.
    • It worked great for about 3 months, now the power adapter doesn't
    • Had to return this, because even though it is supposedly powered, it didn't do a great job powering my devices.
    • Since USB hubs are as inexpensive as they are, I recommend buying this one (that has the external power supply) & a second one that doesn't have a devoted power supply to use during times you are only plugging in multiple "rinky-dink" flash devices & not more power-hungry devices like 2 TB external hard drives
    • The Sabrent 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub with Power Adapter is a great option for anyone who needs a nice, discreet power adapter."This product was received at a free or discounted price in exchange for my review
    • it also comes with an external power supply so that each port has adequate power to supply whatever peripheral is connected
    • Great external USB hub and powers all without issue in a USB 3 port.
    • Very handy ... powered hub with individual switches for each port.
    • Love the individual power on/off buttons and the power adapter
    • The reason I had to detract a star is that if you are purchasing it specifically or wish to charge several devices at once, it seems to output less than the fast charge power of charging them individually and separately
    • It's also nice to have a power adapter so any power-hungry devices (like charging cameras and stuff) get plenty of power
    • Don't expect to connect multiple usb powered hard drives to it
    • I wish ALL USB hubs had power switches and blue lights like this amazing USB 3 hub!
    • Obviously, the power adaptor with its 5v boost is most helpful when charging high output devices or a necessary stand-alone in a situation where there are no powered USB ports available.
    • The reason why I choose this one with power cord, because it provides reliable connection when there is sufficient power supply
    • This is a really good USB-3 multi-port powered device which you really need with laptops and express cards.
    • Still doesn't crank out enough power for most 2.5" drives
    • As with most USB powered hubs (i.e. when not using its own power source) transferring between multiple attached USB powered hard drives will often fail due to power limitations, generally manifesting as one or more device becoming disconnected from a PC.The fact that this comes with a power supply to keep working solidly is why I purchased this over other non-powered USB hubs.
    • The reason I could not charge four devices was an output limitation of my power bank, not a problem with the Sabrent hub.
    • after 1 year and a half all external hard drive click and don't connect so it is now junk...well maybe a power charger only.
    • Nice 3.0 powered hub
    • The power is good with everything I've plugged into it at once
    • The problem was the power
    • Wasn't recognized by my computer, didn't push enough power out to the device, not sure what, but a letdown.
    • This is a great small powered usb 3 port
    • The additional power supply is great for charging your phone and making sure the ports have enough power.
    • Then one of the USB ports stopped receiving power from the adapter and only works when the hub is connected to the computer
    • The unit has an electric plug so power should not be an issue.
    • Supplies sufficient power (from its own power supply) for my external CD/DVD drive and my external drive enclosures/interfaces.
    • I needed to do this as my most recent PC did not have enough power to support 2 external disk drives and an external CD player simultaneously
    • Roku itself had enough power for a pen drive but not an external HDD.
    • Individual buttons helps fine tune power useCan be used as passive power or with optional AC power for devices needing more powerLight on active port(s) right on button so you know at a glance versus others on the side or just one light overallGreat customer service (May 2017)Con
    • The Power Adapter, that comes with it, added bonus if you don't have enough power on your USB port to support 3.0 USB.
    • However, product didn't provide sufficient power to run an Apple SuperDrive when plugged into the hub (and hub was connected to usb and the electrical outlet)
    • I swapped this unit out for a cheaper Amazon Basics powered USB 3 hub, and I've had no issues
    • Individual buttons helps fine tune power useCan be used as passive power or with optional AC power for devices needing more powerLight on active port(s) right on button so you know at a glance versus others on the side or just one light overallGreat customer service (May 2017)Con
    • I carefully reread the description and it appears that it doesn't supply enough power for more than ONE USB drive total--I was trying to connect four
    • Came with the hub and attached usb cord and a nice long power adapter.
    • It lost power.
    • Great little powered 4 port USB 3.0 hub.
    • Pros:power adapter (5'8")4 USB3.0 portsbuttons to turn items on and offworks well with all my various devicesspeed seems to be doing fine as wellCons:Only comes in blueLEDs only light up the bottom half of the buttonsports are super tight, all devices have to be forced in and outUSB cord is a tad short.
    • I like the power
    • Power is pretty weak - won't reliably power a Samsung Blue-ray external drive.
    • Great small externally powered USB hub for devices that need the required power per USB input
    • and then I noticed that it kicked my powered drive off as well
    • It did not supply enough power for 1 TB HDs.
    • So unfortunately, I have a nice powered 2- port hub
    • Great powered hub, especially like the individual switch buttons to turn each port on or off
    • Otherwise, the design of the device being small, incoming power and data connection at the same end and having an external power supply with a nice, long power cord is favorable.
    • Not sure what happened as I never ran any bus powered devices on it, but It was used to add ports for an independently powered hard drive, wireless mouse, iLok dongle and an audio interface
    • Great, powers my external hard drive as needed
    • Otherwise, the individual power switches work extremely well and the powered hub lets you use multiple external hard drives.
    • It does power multiple portable drives without issue.
