requires outside power supply didn't realize it until i got it... works as expected and the switches are nice to have... could you a littl more space in between for the awkward usb connectors.

I am amending this review to 4 stars because I have ordered a second USB3.0 hub and it works perfectly as USB 3.0

USB 2 devices work through it just fine although they don't operate at speeds any faster than 2.0 allows

Having only 2 USB ports on my laptop, I wanted to use this hub to easily connect several devices to it, but apparently this device has absolutely no reliability to work with such important and sensitive devices like external drives, so I came up with the same issue of having less USB ports available than I need just like before buying this hub.

This Sabrent 4-port USB 3.0 Hub works with my Windows laptop & tablet.

Obviously, the power adaptor with its 5v boost is most helpful when charging high output devices or a necessary stand-alone in a situation where there are no powered USB ports available.

This is a really good USB-3 multi-port powered device which you really need with laptops and express cards.

I've tried USB headsets and speakers and they work great when plugged directly into the computer, but it's a huge battle to try and get it to work with this hub.

On the whole, this slim little hub is easy to pack and easy to use for those using a laptop or desktop, and provides enough extra USB 3.0 ports to make it a good option for expansion.
