Sabrent USB 2.0/ESATA TO 3.5 Inch IDE or SATA/SATA II Aluminum Hard Drive Enclosure Case with Cooling Fan (EC-UEIS7)

    • I'm certain that this enclosure is not the best quality that money can buy, but it's everything that I needed to house a 1 Tb hard drive that I use once every three months for backup.
    • I am using this to hold my 2tb hard drive that holds my movies for my media player.
    • Power supply wires seem thin, but it works the unit works fine with my WD Caviar Black 1TB drive, no problem, and the fan turns, so the system gets enough current despite the thin wires
    • Makes good use of my extra 1 TB hard drive.
    • I put a 1tb internal hard drive in it, hooked it up with a sata cable and it works as fast as the as the internal hard drives.

    • Excellent, Quality USB/ESATA Hard Drive Enclosure to use with 2TB Audio/Video Hard Drive to expand my DirecTV HD-DVR.
    • but i'm just happy I didn't lose 1TB of data when the controller in my previous enclosure failed.
    • I ordered this unit for a new Seagate 2TB hard drive that a friend purchased for me
    • I was able to easily use the spare 1TB drives I had lying around
    • With my goflex I lost 2TB of data in just under three months because of heating issues
    • so I chose a 1TB hard drive that suited my needs
    • One thing to note, the box itself says 'Supports hard drives up to 2 TB', both untrue (I'm running a 3TB WD Blue drive in there now, just fine), but also there's no mention in the listing of that potentially helpful (or harmful) piece of information.
    • Like many others, I initially thought my beloved 1 TB external HD had kicked the bucket, but it was the power supply in the case housing the hard drive
    • Works great with my 3TB Hard Drive that came out of a Western Digital External that the chip board crashed on
    • The WD Green 1TB in mine doesn't get anywhere near hot, I know, it has SMART data! For references, the chipset
