    A Sailor's Guide To Earth

    • It really is an album, not a collection of singles but a cohesive song cycle
    • Well I'm thankful to God for giving Sturgill Simpson the ability to write beautiful songs and amazing music that can help this struggling dad connect the dots a little better
    • This song screams David Gray but so much more
    • Every song is great
    • The horns are especially effective at punching up the last song, Call to Arms, a great song on a great album.
    • Great songs, great singing, and great production
    • I like his first 2 albums better, but there are some good songs on this one
    • Not a bad song on the album and his cover of Nirvana's In Bloom is worth the price of the album

    • (Live A Little)" is my favorite song from the album for many reasons
    • Quickly the song turns funky with R&B honky tonk horns that makes the song feel like something you might have heard in the explosive 1980 film "The Blues Brothers
    • CD stinks 1 song on the whole thing that sounds great keep more of
    • Unfortunately, they'll likely be yelling catcalls during Simpson's slower songs (i.e. Sarah). From the get-go, I really like the cover of In Bloom.

    • Not a bad song on the album and his cover of Nirvana's In Bloom is worth the price of the album
    • Started listening to songs closer, Love the lyrics and sound
    • Horns, r&b, well written songs.
    • Sturgill's dark guitars and electronic synthesizer drive this song and turn it into an event in music that should not be missed."All Around You" is a great 1950s blues style country song while "Oh Sarah" is that country song filled with hurt, pain and joy
    • Good songs with good arrangements.
    • My favorite song has to be "Keep it between the Lines" which features an appearance by one of my other favorite bands, the Dap Kings
    • The album closes with one of it's strongest songs
    • There aren't a ton of songs that stand out as his greatest songs ever, but it is easily my favorite album by him.
    • The song that was good kept me a awake better than the rest
    • This artist (and I'm sure the team that surrounds him) rivals to be the brightest and most creative lyricist(s) and musicians in the industry today.
