One of the few monitors that can hook into a retina Macbook with the correct resolution (using displayport).

I'm really impressed with the naturalness and detail of the picture when using the highest resolution (not all graphics cards support it, though).

A 32 inch UHD version (U32J590) at 137 ppi is a bit of an overkill for the ~2.5 foot viewing distance of a monitor but for only $50 more it may be a bragging rights option for many with graphics cards which support the resolution.

The resolution is great, the screen is large and the colors are true.

In my case because I keep both cables on the right side of the laptop (see image), really easy to "dock in".- 2 Hard Drives (USB 3) connected to the monitor.- 1 Card Reader directly connected to the monitor.- 1 cheap usb hub connected to the monitor (to connect a dongle for a Microsoft Keyboard, why the hub? see below)Good:- Good image (tested with Lightroom with different types of images and compared against a mac retina display at same resolution)- Great color rendition.- The resolution although not the best out there, its sufficient.- For work (I code for a living but do a lot of photography) is more than sufficient and the right price.- USB ports work really well

For work, the 1440p resolution is fantastic because I can easily keep multiple windows open on the screen at the same time without sacrificing much screen real estate inside the individual windows

Your old one may not be able to support this resolution.

I don't think this is the monitor's fault; it is more like some HDMI outputs don't support the 2.5k resolution.

CONRecommended resolution- the best resolution for the monitor render icon on the desktop and document way too small to readPicture- any video under 600wh frame is in poor quality, especially AVI format.

the 850T are grainy at all

The S32850T has better text clarity in Windows, nearly comparable image resolving (which can be brought closer with upscaling), practically zero ghosting, and can run games at native resolution much more effectively
