I definitely recommend to use it in combination with a HDD for data storage, I used a 500 Gb spining hard drive with good success I plan to use a 2 Tb HDD

This is a great drive!

I paired this mSATA solid state drive with an Ableconn IIDE-MSAT

You also need a good small Phillips screwdriver to secure the drive first in the enclosure (bought separately) so you can clone your existing SSD and later on in the laptop when you put in the new drive to replace your old SSD

And the right screws for my setup came off an old mechanical hard drive

The partition moving software that came with the drive looked fine, but I didn't use it.

The mSATA connector means that I can stick a hard drive in there later for extra storage, too

Of course, now there is the faster NVMe technology found on newer motherboards, but if you have an older one like mine, this is a great product, especially if you're still using a traditional hard drive for booting the operating system.

Once you get an SSD like this, you wonder how you ever lived with 7200 RPM hard drives

Was able to migrate 470+ Gb of data from the old hard drive to the new SSD in just over 2 hours.

Worked perfectly in my Ipod when I replaced the dead hard drive

This new drive was very easy to install and once I cloned all the data over it booted up very quickly

Used Samsung Migration software to copy old hard drive, shutdown, removed old hard drive and rebooted

If your Samsung Magician software says that this drive is "Not Genuine" just get the update for the software and it should fix it and allow you to turn RAPID mode on

Getting a smaller albeit less expensive SSD drive requires quite a bit of manual effort to move Windows to the SSD while keeping Windows data file libraries on a regular hard disk drive.
