They can improve the speed of your computer's response over a mechanical drive, and work especially well as a system drive for rapid boots

Make sure you download Samsung Data Migration software as it will copy the OLD HDD and PARTITIONS (if any exist) and you can simply copy the data from old drive to new one, shutdown, remove old drive and your system will work 100% with ZERO ISSUES.

No point getting a fast drive if you're only going to slow it down with an old OS installation full of years of accumulated programs, settings, and other junk.

After that there are several settings you need to adjust in Windows and/or your BIOS for a solid state drive.
