HDD are terrible!

I fixed up my father's computer last weekend as his current system was having issues, and after I'd done some work it was fairly clear that his slow HDD was the culprit

After replacing the battery in the system I noticed the drive Yoga 2 had was attached to the standard SATA cable, opening the option to easily upgrade the slow hdd to a ssd.

Though it only works in specific scenarios for that kind of speed.-Sata III type connection meaning it was compatible with a 3rd Gen Motherboard that only supports up to ivy bridge CPU.-Good for putting certain games and other apps that require decent hdd speed

I am sure that it is worth to try it with older notebooks because the HDD is usually the weakest part of the chain and you would most probably waste money for new notebook as same as I did

Great replacement for Macbook Pro 2011 HDD

Installed this in a late 2011 MacBook Pro 13 that had a very slow mechanical hdd.

This is a must in a pc build...fits a budget and greatly improves performance over just an hdd (which I ran only hdd for 2 years)..relatively easy to install (look up guides, etc)

None the less, I suspect any HDD to SSD conversion will yield some speed gain.

I can surf the web faster (web pages open much faster) without the previous slow HDD bottleneck

If I don't, more reason to get one and junk that HDD! !
