Very good basic blu-ray player.

I wanted an inexpensive, yet small blu-ray player for our TV upstairs as I have a more expensive (Oppo) player downstairs for in our home theater room.

It's a nice Blu-Ray player, money is worth it, especially if you recently got a new HD TV but want a cheap Blu-Ray player to go along with it.

There is no green "on" light, which does not protect the blu-ray from being on too much, nor does not let you know if it is "on" or "off

The blu ray works great and was in like new condition.

I checked Amazon for inexpensive Blue Ray Players and found several "un-new" but still guaranteed so I ordered one...the Samsung BD-F5100.

I wanted a simple blu-ray player that would work well with my Samsung Smart TV and the BD-F5100 does it nicely

Overall, a great basic Blue-ray player for a great price.

Had mine for just about 2 years and it's a pity that it doesn't play clean Blu-ray movies like it used to anymore but will play any scratched up DVD like a champ

Samsung blue ray devices start up (boot) really quick, the fastest as of the time I purchased it

The Blu-Ray player (BRP) itself is great, especially considering that it works magically with our Samsung TV (i.e. - turning on the BRP will automatically turn on our TV and switch the input to the BRP; as well as, a volume control directly on the BRP remote)
