I would recommend it if someone is trying to turn a dumb TV into a Smart TV

This unit is Samsung "AnyNet" capable and therefore meshes very well with our Samsung 46" LED TV - an added plus.

was the cause of the problems which they finally fixed because since then I have not had any connectivity issues with the player or my other devices that connected to netflix (e.g. tablets (samsung note 10.1, laptop, and vizio smart tv).

Has Ethernet jack to plug straight into internet modem and is a good way to get streaming video to an older, not so smart, TV.

Remote can operate a Samsung TV as well which is awesome so you don't need two remotes.

I own a "smart tv" so Pandora, Netflix, Hulu or anything else that connects to the NET is not needed
