When I pushed back on this, the only answer I could get from them was that "the LED panel failed and that isn't warranty."

Since the LED panel is about 80% of what makes up the item, the rest being an external power supply, a little electronics and the mechanical case, this essentially means there is no warranty on about 80% of the monitor.
