For $500 this thing was worth every penny, but if you don't need any of the fancy stuff and just want an ultra sharp 4k display, and 60hz is fine, then go for a 4k monitor

I understand light will escape nothing is perfect, but these are huge flaws and as advertised with the color calibration sheets sent with the device are measured off of one spot in the monitor possibly the center which of course is the most accurate spot of the monitor as for the edges with the glow that somewhat alters things especially when your working with color variant designing

OK, I very much wanted to like this monitor, it has a few pretty awesome things going for it:+refresh rate/resolution is great (on an nvidia card, can't say anything about Freesync)+colors were great after using Windows calibration tool+HDR if/when it works (which is a PRETTY big if due to shoddy Windows 10 HDR) is stunning when implemented correctly in a game

the monitor is very fast for a VA, there is still very minor G2G pixel response issues

The main differences between these two monitors are: ASUS - G-SYNC, slightly faster refresh and IPS panel

The refresh rate is nice, but not as smooth as g-sync when playing games succseseble to stuttering
