I've used the TV for over a year and have never felt like the curve has made much of a difference
I wasn't sure if I'd like the curve in the panel, as I'd never used a curved monitor before, but a lot of people on the Internet told me I'd never look back, and I have to say; they were right!
I can't tell the curve very much which I prefer, too curved is too curved.
I do like the 32 inches and curved feature of the Samsung, but that is about it
The curve is just right and who can deny having a 32'' 144hz monitor?!
The refresh rate is nice, but not as smooth as g-sync when playing games succseseble to stuttering
Compared to the Alienware - while having a 240Hz refresh rate paired with G-Sync is nice, quite frankly, the level of fluidity is negligible when compared to a 144Hz panel with no adaptive sync technology
1.1 will not run free sync, your Mac will not recognize the display if you use 1.2+.
I have read about this product a lot and knew the details of things about it and when I bought it i found it better than I imagine a good competitor to the other screens, especially that it does not contain a lie G-sync by the way I should tell you about two things you may not have seen in impressions or
Don’t mind that it’s free sync and not gsync since my 1080 TI typically pushes max frame rates at native res
For $500 this thing was worth every penny, but if you don't need any of the fancy stuff and just want an ultra sharp 4k display, and 60hz is fine, then go for a 4k monitor
its not as bright as a
All in all its a fantastic display and coming from a 4k 60hz monitor it's night and day
I could plug any active HDMI or display port device (PC, Amazon fire TV, PS4, Google chrome cast), but the display appears dead after sleep, and the only solution is to totally unplug the display power cable, and plugging back on and powering on seems to reset.
The StandThe Display Is Sleek LookingIts everything Samsung name holds up tooThe kicker, this monitor is suppose to hold Samsung new Q-Led Technology with the darker blacks and more vibrant colorsPictures Of My Purchased Product Below1
The refresh rate is nice, but not as smooth as g-sync when playing games succseseble to stuttering
HDR isn't (as of writing) fully integrated into enough games (assuming you're purchasing this to game, as this is a gaming monitor) to fully justify this purchase solely based on HDR.HDR is just icing on the not yet fully realized cake
I run my games on a 1080ti and I still struggled to maintain a steady 60+fps on 4K, but I blister through triple digits on this making everything feel great
I updated the firmware, using a Monster 900G power strip with only the XBox One X and monitor connected, and using a 4K HDMI cable from Atevon
Hdr is great not as good as my Sony x93e but still a nice feature to have on monitor makes games look more realistic.
It probably wont be as good as the upcoming Asus and Acer HDR monitors which will cost a lot more than this, but its still a nice feature to have
Either way, not enough to deduct a star, great features for the price.
The build of the monitor is also very solid, very smooth tilting features
You can not enjoy the 1ms response time feature unless the screen light is lowI did not know about
I have no idea if this is an error in the anti glare coating or if I'm just not used to VA panels (looking closely at my LG IPS panel I do not notice panel above the image).Although I think HDR is a very cool feature this monitor can't reach the peak luminance of most HDR TVs
tftcentral has published a wonderful review that brings to light this monitors biggest weakness (pixel response times, black smearing, etc).UPDATE: 10/27/17 - I can't recommend this monitor for Freesync users as it's become clear why Samsung ships these with such a poor Freesync range (72-144hz)
The ultra-fast response time seems to be there, as well as 144hz refresh rates out of a monitor that not only is VA, opposed to TN, but also has the coloring of something really stunning
Monitor is awesome, colors are vibrant response and refresh rate is buttery smooth
and I like fast response time this monitor just has to much input lag
The use of freesync also disables response time across all refresh ratesThe use of HDR also disables response time acros all refresh rates
Only thing I don't like is the stand takes up way to much room on desk !

I think only HP got it right because this thing takes up the whole deskThe thing overheats and gives a funny overheating plastic smell
the monitor is very fast for a VA, there is still very minor G2G pixel response issues
I took a risk buying it despite many reviews stating poor quality control with this monitor but I decided to get it anyway
At full price it’s not worth the headache with Samsung’s poor quality control.
Amazing picture quality and immersive game playing experience
Feeling very frustrated and disappointed with Samsung's terrible quality control, and I will update as I progress through their warranty service
Actually there are no monitors on the market to date that support 4k @ 120 hz (which requires HDMI 2.1).CONS - HDR, FALD, terrible light bleedHDR sucks - even though HDR supposedly requires 1000 nits, this monitor claims to achieve 600 nits which still should enhance image quality
I tried to test this with the blinds down and lights off but the bleed and amount of light that makes it through is impossibly distracting.
No dead pixels, no light bleed, no screen tearing with the nvidia card and viewing angles are great
Like every cheap edge lit Samsung panel, the first one had excessive back-light bleed, yes, even for a VA-based panel, it was very noticeable
The Perfect Shot, No Backlight Bleed With The Lights Off, But only with the brightness set to
I first was skeptical on this monitor how everyone was saying it bad, but its really worth it, between this and IPS, if you're not a content creator, this panel is fine and I had no bad pixels or back light bleed
If I had to suggest a few things, the power cord that comes with this has a weird L-shape making it difficult to use at times, and the stand is a little big for my liking, but those can be swapped out without too much work due to the monitor being VESA compatible and using a standard power port for this type of monitor
Using freesync 2 in 60hz modes improves input lag to 5ms but leaves motion blur and ghosting to deal with
This feature in other refresh rate modes works wonders to help improve motion blur
I had a Asus 27" pg278QR but was in my 30 Day return period when this came out, was worried that there wouldnt be as good of a ulmb(ULTRA LOW MOTION BLUR) mode, but I must admit, after tweaking some settings this monitor is even better than the newest 2k 27" from asus and it comes with the first VA panel with low latency and a 1ms Response time at

Defective panel, black lines all across, very distracting
It suffers form Text Inversion (super blurry text), scan lines (horizontal lines across the screen, Horizontal Banding Strips (literally bands that horizontally go left to right across the entire panel)

I like the HP omen minimalist footprint design and that all the other companies could learn from them!I don't like the smell of plastic
