I took the phone to Best Buy, and they claimed that the phone had a defect when shipped from the third party seller, but it was not noticeable then

Old S5 had 5 bars unless I was 2 floors below buildingsPoor battery, as soon as it is unplugged it loses 5% and quickly depletes within hours

As with any carrier distributed phone you will have a certain amount of vendor crap that you can't easily remove but the S5 isn't hard to unlock if you Google it
