I've had this camera for quite some time, takes amazing photos, and does not overhead when taking long videos like the 2017 version!

Keeping the ISO at 400 makes for sharper and clearer photos, but still not like what the newer smart phones can get quality wise

VR / 360 photos look amazing, the realism is so much greater than a flat photo.

thing.3- Depending on how close to objects the camera is, it might cut some of the visual part, where the to lenses meet, so it is always best to use the camera in big spaces.4- Depending on where the light is hitting the camera (one lense or the other), might create a weird final 360 photo

This camera takes really nice photos and videos and the Gear 360 software on the phone does a really nice job stitching the photos and videos

Prior to this camera, I was taking 360 panoramic photos of the outdoors and real estate with a DSLR (canon 6D + rokinon 14mm) and a rotator stage (nodal ninja) then stiching them together in software (PTGUI)

Virtually invisible seams, (much) better photos despite the lower resolution, better low-light, and so on

However, since then, I have seen some very good uses of 360 degree video, and some good 360 degree photos that actually were so sharp and detailed, it made me feel like I was in the place the camera was showing

Currently I'm using simple screen capture in my phone after viewing,zooming and rotating my photos in round view (tiny planet view)-Ability to edit the photos like any other photos from the gallery ( adjust tone, add effects , drawing..etc) WITHOUT loosing the 360 tag

The picture quality is amazing and it takes the hassle out of having to take a panoramic photo

The photos are stitched well as long as the nearest subject is at least about a foot away from either lens

it will not be, and obviously a 360 photo looks odd when viewed flat.
