The unit does a extremely good job in up converting Those older Blu-ray discs that do not freeze

It does a nice job of upgrading the resolution for non 4k disks

Also does a great job upscaling normal blu-rays

Exterior refurbish job was lacking

With me I go more for picture quality and this does a good job with regular DVDs and Blu-rays

This DVD player does a great job with 4K DVDs but also enhances standard and Blu Ray DVDs.
