None of the factory settings are watchable and most of the picture controls (that are not on cheaper models) have to be shut off to get a good image.

I have the image fairly bright for regular TV and dimmer for movies.

After calibration (see below for settings), you'll get great image quality.- TV's own upscaling is pretty good.- 3D is fantastic.- Black levels and screen

If the source is good quality (very few channels, actually), the image is good with minimal upscaling artifacts

I'm usually one that can stomach 1 or 2 dead individual pixels if I've used the product for awhile, but the line is extremely obvious especially on brighter background images.

Turn that thing off as fast as you can.

Now, it's possible that the 1K looks almost as good as the 4k because of up-conversion Samung is doing.
