Very rich colors, great black level and no discernible pixels

There are 3 secrets to getting great black levels, actually

It has some of the best color and black levels I have seen in any TV that I have owned

I gave it 4 stars because the tv is really good, could be better in some spots like 3D picture, black levels could be a little better but for a LED it can only be so good and for a good true black level will be OLED or plasma

Some level of detail was lost on background objects in most scenes (as is expected when watching 3D), but the detail on objects that were the main focus of the scene were above & beyond better than I expected.

aloneI discovered the real trick for getting the correct lighting level for your room is to work with gamma and backlight, not brightness.

I'll explainFirst, I start with a clean signal; no dynamic black levels or LED zones or any of that nonsense

Watching normal movies is fine, but watching movies that are dark overall reveals that the set seems to be crushing the black levels.

The menus are pretty bad (lots of diving down into sub menus to change things that should be top level)

Colors are amazing black levels are great and motion is amazing

For an LED it has excellent black levels and great colors

It still has a great picture overall, but to the very critical eye and videophile (me included), the color is, overall, very accurate but could be a touch better, black levels are solid to very good (could be better), and the LED edge lighting isn't great (more on this in the next point).

Again the black levels were fantastic and colors seem true to life.

During the scene where Dusty is flying in the thunderstorm at night, the black levels were the best I've seen on an LED tv--they looked like they would on a top-level plasma.
