I really think that Samsung was trying to electronically emulate a plasmas' superior picture with an LED set.
-
The only issue, like all LED-LCD sets is that the image degrades a lot when viewed off-axis.
-
Great set, i didn't think anything could out do
-
No luck - no one had any sets available for anything less than $2,000.
-
But i do use Natural in some cases using the same setting as dynamic.
-
Universal remote setting work OK,
-
In late December of 2014, after Samsung had recently quit producing their top plasma set, it was time to get one.
-
There was a time I was having issues with my set top box
-
Dark Night should not be viewed in a Modern Family setting, right?Any help for minor adjustments to an amazing TV would be great!
-
This set just cannot provide that judder free
-
This set will allow you to fully enjoy improved 1080 HD content and is ready to play as 4K rapidly becomes the new standard.
-
Excellent picture, easy set up, good bundle of features
-
all in all, this is a very nice set and connects via wifi to your network, computer and even phone.
-
During the first week, I was thinking that this set was exactly like a plasma set, with the very few negatives that held back plasmas.
-
Otherwise, the set is fine and I generally agree with comments do other reviewers.
-
Great picture (better than any other set that I've seen)
-
But that's what I keep my TV on because every other setting is too dark
-
Watching normal movies is fine, but watching movies that are dark overall reveals that the set seems to be crushing the black levels.
-
I could literally see the LEDs and where they were placed, so I had a defective set anyway,
-
The natural setting is nice and bright
-
Samsung recommend the Dynamic picture setting and the Clear voice sound setting.
-
The right thing for them to do is to replace the set without placing a considerable extra burden on the customer.
-
It appears the situation is tied to a design flaw in the LED screen and use of the "dynamic" picture setting
-
So after owning this beautiful set for almost 2 years it's gotten a strange black line on the screen .
-
A complete set of "smartTV" apps (critical for me were Netflix, Amazon, HBO Go, YouTube, Pandora)4
-
is good assuming that you get a good set.- Future proof through One Connect
-
I know you're not supposed to iuse the enhanced black setting but it looks really washed out without it
-
So I bought this tv sometime back in July or August, and it was an easy set up
-
You could probably find a very good set for a thousand less, but the engineering and technology that went into this set is fascinating
-
--this is an important setting and affects the entire picture, not just contrast
-
Advanced setting, I turned off that motion that gives the headaches (soap opera movement)
-
Do these sets usually require a certain number of hours of viewing time before they fully burn-in
-
Aside from the wifi being a slight issue the set is nice
-
Screen uniformity was terrific (LED sets normally have lighter areas on screen when viewing a dark scene, such as a space star field), I could not detect any luminous unevenness on my particular set.
-
I'll end by saying I received a defective set, which obviously means I didn't get Samsung at their best.
-
I've gone to my local big-box stores to compare via eye-test (of course this set looks amazing on their showroom floors), and I even upgraded my HDMI cable to a 2.0/18mbps, but it still looks disappointing
-
This set is awesome
-
If I had received a good set, I don't believe I'd have many regrets
-
The set up was extremely easy and didn't take long to get used to the magic remote.
-
For this model, initially Samsung used a T-GFP chipset that fully supports 4K@60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma
