Love the remote especially

I thought I must have dropped and broken the remote, but then I tried another

The smart remote is small and easy to use, the pointer is a cool

Overall, it's a very good tv with a very nice remote, but I think I could have spent less money and had a tv with equivalent or better picture.

Finally, a standard Samsung remote because the smart remote can be slightly annoying to use as the primary control in some circumstances

First off, the so called "Smart Remote" wasn't such a smart idea for Samsung, the darned remote is so small it's hard to handle and gets lost easily, it's to small for my hands (and I don't have large hands)

If there was one downfall, it is the smart remote.

I think that's the reason movie buffs loved plasma over LCD all those years... but thankfully, this being my first LED TV, I can say it's very similar to my previous plasmas in that movies look and move how they should.+ The smart remote is actually really impressive

another reason why I recommend a standard remote--

It works as a universal remote, seamlessly changing its functionality based on the device you're using (i.e. when you change between say, Cable Box and Amazon Fire, it knows and changes its own functionality)

The included smart remote is pretty cool, and the "pointer" motion control function is pretty cool

Samsung did away with the full size remote, and only incudes the "smart" remote

If you really like a remote with all those direct access buttons, you can buy one that will work just fine with this TV (BN59-01178W)

No bleed, no dead pixels, Smart remote takes a bit to get use too

This smart remote is compact and layout is simple

Only thing I will miss is the awesome Samsung remote

The apps, wifi, and functions all worked for me and I like the remote

The smart remote (has a wireless mouse / cursor thing going on) is great and makes navigating and typing very easy

By the way, you're going to be forced to use the rather odd remote that comes with this TV.

The picture is GORGEOUS, the sound is good enough from the TV speakers (though I prefer to use surround sound), and the processor was ultra fast meaning that the Smart TV functionality is pretty nice (even though I still prefer my Amazon Fire).The smart remote is pretty awesome too

I also love the remote which you can point and click or use the buttons, and it's not overcrowded with buttons that I will never use

The picture is fantastic, the TV is really nice to use, I like the remote and the Smart TV hub, and I even like the little box with all the HDMI inputs etc, as it's much easier to reach than the back of the TV

I still use my logitech harmony one remote for most things since I have a receiver, but when browsing samsung menus or the smart hub I'll switch the smart remote

As a consequence, I have set the "smart" remote aside and continue to use the Directv universal remote
