    • This drive was very fast for about six months until it failed yesterday, wiping out Windows 7 in the process
    • Great drive very fast
    • For most laptops you can easily access the hard drive from a plastic cover on the bottom
    • The system I put this in boots super quick, the drive is of course silent.
    • The most amazing thing about it all is the fact that SSD technology had improved to even faster drives than this one but this one is light years ahead of an old spinning Hard Drive
    • Great drive too, but this is a few notches above it.
    • Excellent warranty, fast drives, just a little pricey compared
    • It loads in 10 seconds even though I have the hard drive encrypted
    • I'm just saying that the most noticeable and relatively cost effective upgrade (with out the need of a benchmark) was going from a Hard Drive up to a Solid State Drive
    • Using the free utilities to transfer all of the data from the computer was really quite easy and only took about 30 minutes (you'll need to buy a USB 3.0 SATA III hard drive adaptor cable if you don't already have one)
    • I also picked up a Anker® 2.5 Inch USB 3.0 Hard Drive Disk External Enclosure Case for 9.5mm & 7mm 2.5" SATA HDD and SSD to connect to the PC via USB 3.0, to use when cloning my existing drive onto the new SanDisk Extreme PRO SSD via a free program called: Macrium Reflect
    • In summary, buy this if you can't afford the Samsung 850 Pro and want the second fastest drive out there as of mid-2014
    • I ordered this drive for my Black Magic Designs HyperDeck Shuttle 2 since it is on the approved drive list and it works perfectly
    • I ordered this drive for my Black Magic Designs HyperDeck Shuttle 2 since it is on the approved drive list and it works perfectly
    • By far one of the fastest Hard drives I have ever used
    • Upgraded my HP Elite 8300, used the free MiniTool Partition Wizard available here on Amazon, first connected the SSD on the system so the W7 OS would recognize the drive and install the driver it needed, then just used the MiniTool Partition Wizard to copy the contents of my regular Boot drive to the SSD, then unplugged the old physical drive and booted to the SSD, no problems
    • Love it compared to the standard issused hard drive
    • This is roughly four times faster than the internal hard drive.
    • 9.5 mm hard drives are still available for replacement, just not used in design
    • Very fast drive running Windows 10 OS
    • Once that is completed in Windows' "Disk Management", the drive is ready to be used
    • I copied her hard drive onto this SSD and we haven't had one problem since
    • SanDisk's instructions explain how to clone via a USB to SATA cable, but I installed the hard drive internally and then initialized it so Explorer would recognize it.
    • Hard Drive Vs Sandisk Extreme Pro SSDTo test the difference in speeds between my old hard drive and the new Sandisk Extreme Pro SSD, I went to the Parkdale Speed Test (online download the executable file) to test the hard drive, and later the SSD.Check out the video results to see the difference, and to help you decide if making the switch to this SSD drive is for you
    • I replaced the hard drive in my 2011 iMac with this and it ZOOMS!
    • CAN tell you the Windows Experience Score for the hard drive went from 4.5 to 7.6 after installing the drive, so it did increase performance
    • And have you tried removing a hard drive from an iMac?
    • Excellent solid state drive.
    • and it's been far more durable than my old spinning disk MacBook hard drive
    • If you are switching from a standard Hard drive to an SSD don't forget to buy the SSD adapter to mount it properly
    • I replaced my 2010 15" MBP's original 500 GB hard drive with this, and the results are, so far, outstanding

    • Why treat the customer with condescension for isolating a clearly-defective drive
    • Excellent drive.
    • I can easily recommend this drive right out of the box
    • this drive is the perfect compliment to those parts.
    • Once the firmware was updated, the drive started to work and has worked for the last few weeks without issue
    • This is the best SSD drive I have ever seen.
    • So, I thought a faster hard drive could assist in making the streaming faster and gave the SanDisk
    • Then I replaced the hard drive with this ssd, put my dvd rom back in, and rebooted
    • So the only thing i would like to point out is, if you connect this SSD to a PC via a enclosure for the firs time, (at leas in my case, using ORICO 2588US3 USB 3.0 2.5 - inch SATA External Hard Drive HDD Case.), the drive will not be recognized at all, which is in contrast to what some of the reviewers commented on this product(it will show up in the windows as a hard disk )
    • Love SSD drives.
    • An amazing drive
    • I guess with the old green hard drives, the time the browser program takes to load the data is enough time to reduce image quality
    • The drive comes in a very small but easy to open package
    • The X300s supports the TCG Opal 2.0 and Microsoft Encrypted Hard Drive industry security standards.
    • The same error happened about 2 months ago with a different drive and in a different enclosure, so I doubt that it's a bad drive or enclosure issue
    • Not to mention that one of the support articles said that OS X El Capitan was probably not compatible with the drive (ridiculous!)
    • In the past with mechanical hard drives, the computer would slow as the drive filled with all of that extraneous junk from surfing the web etc
    • I'm comfortable with this high end Solid State Drive.
    • Happy that it arrived the day after the original hard drive took it's death dive!
    • I've been building PC's for 25 years and one of my tricks is to use the fastest drive the customer can afford
    • The adapter installed easily in the 3.5" slot and I connected the SSD to my system's motherboard with a new SATA 6GBps cable and the power supply that had previously been attached to my old hard drive
    • Cloned hard drive to this drive, cloning software included in tools menu in sandisk dashboard.
    • This drive compares very well with other SSD's, but
    • I cannot in good conscience recommend this drive for any laptop as you would be putting your data at risk if lost or stolen
    • I have not run a speed test on it, but I did move my steam library onto it, and the games are twice as fast as the traditional hard drive
    • My research may say that this drive is the fastest, but unless I start pulling drives and comparing them in the same machine I'll never know, because it's in my fastest machine
    • Replaced a smaller 64GB solid state drive with this
    • Atomos Ninja Assassin 7.1" 4K & HD HDMI ProRes/DNx Monitor Recorder - Bundle With SanDisk Ultra II 240GB Solid State Drive

    • great drive sped up my boot time to almost nothing
    • almost 2 years to the date of purchase this drive failed.
    • I don't understand how they cannot get drives to replace RMA/dead drives
    • Remove the screws holding the hard drive bracket in the laptop, gently pull the hard drive out of the connector using the plastic pull tab on the bracket, and remove the hard drive.
    • I cloned the hard drive to the SSD, I removed the Sandisk Extreme from the external enclosure and put it into the ICY bracket
    • I decided to physically remove the Mac's optical drive as well because it was no longer in
    • There are significantly cheaper drives for customers willing to trade performance for value
    • My new system I built with this awesome Drive, now boots up windows 10 in 10 seconds
    • This drive has kept my Macbook Pro SUPER fast
    • Twenty minutes later (SSD to SSD), awesome new drive.
    • We buy Thinkpads with the cheapest hard drive and replace them with these.
    • Upon Windows repair, the PC booted as expected, but about 3x's faster!Installation was remarkably easy to do, and this drive is amazingly fast in comparison to my old drive
    • (MacBookPro5,3) and had been noticing recently that it was spending more time than usual waiting on the hard drive (spinning disk)
    • After about a year, my "new" drive failed.
    • Other than that, this drive itself is super fast
    • Replaced the 256GB hard drive in my notebook with the SanDisk Extreme Pro 240GB SATA drive.
    • The iMac was constantly swapping out memory to the slow internal hard drive and it was KILLING me!On the advice
    • Basically, you get a SanDisk SATA cord and it plugs into your motherboard; you then mirror copy your current hard drive to the SanDisk and because it is a flash drive, you can play games and use your software and it's SO MUCH FASTER!
    • I had no idea just how much faster my computer would be with this hard drive.
    • and then I will format the old hard drive and use it as storage space
    • Great drive, great price.

    • In this day and age it nice t find a reliable and affordable drive
    • Unscrew and remove the back panel covering the hard drive (on the Dell, I just took a guess and removed the central panel and there was the hard drive, the same size as the SSD).
    • The drive was easy to install - but I did have to get a spacer as this drive is smaller than the one it replaced. .
    • It also allows you to update the firmware, erase the drive, and setup the ability to securely erase the drive contents
    • Got this to replace a defective default hard drive in my laptop.
    • You will need this enclosure because you have to have a way to connect the computer to the new ssd in order to transfer the system from one hard drive to another.
    • Then remove the screws holding the hard drive to the bracket (one of mine was difficult to remove and almost got completely stripped before coming loose.
    • My laptop (1 year old at the time of this writing) is good but is known for its slow mechanical hard drive
    • This hard drive has great transfer rates.
    • I added this hard drive to my Mac Mini and cloned my data from the startup drive onto this.
    • so I was familiar with the process of how to install a hard drive into my 4 year old Dell XPS 8300 desktop, but found that after looking under the hood I would need two things: a ICY DOCK EZ-FIT MB990SP-B 2 x 2.5 Inch to 3.5 Inch Drive Bay SATA SSD/HDD Mounting Kit / Bracket / Adapter and a Monoprice 18-Inch SATA III 6.0 Gbps Cable with Locking Latch and 1 x 90-Degree Plug (108783)

    • I got this solid state drive (SSD) to review through the Amazon Vine program.
    • So I ended up putting it one of my newer computers where we play most of our games; as such it's a smaller hard drive than my ACTUAL hard drive; and for normal computer use such as internet, basic programs, not super high graphic games: it is definitely not worth the cost of the disc
    • WOW!I used this drive to replace the standard mechanical drive on my
    • This is an excellent drive
    • When a customer wants "fast" and "sustaining", I give recommend this drive

    • Be amazed how fast and reliable a drive it is!
    • Its a hard drive ... duh
    • Added to my late 2012 Mac Mini using the OWC Data Doubler SSD/2.5" Hard Drive Installation Kit.

    • The SanDisk SSD 480 GB is smaller than the hard drive on my Dell (750 GB), and I had a lot of photos, videos, and music taking up a lot of room.
    • I was surprised how easy it actually was to switch my data from one hard drive to another.
    • This is a fast drive and booting up is much faster
    • Unless you are a scientist or heavy gamer your hard drive is typically the bottleneck, not the CPU
    • Can't say enough good about this blazing fast drive.
    • I purchased this drive to replace my hard drive on my Apple Mac mini Late 2009 computer.
    • Having had similar issues over the years with PCs running Windows, I decided it was time for a new hard drive

    • I love the SanDisk Extreme drives
    • I took the back of the laptop off, carefully removed the hard drive and placed this SSD in there.
    • At 335 the price on amazon can't be beat currently, the drive is fast, super fast, you can get drives for cheaper but not with the 10 yr warranty, plus the size is small, and pretty featherweight
    • This drive doesn't have encryption support and don't think many gamers will miss it because first of all you need to be running Windows 8 and have a TPM for eDrive encryption support
    • Clone your existing hard drive
    • So, I thought a faster hard drive could assist in making the streaming faster and gave the SanDisk
    • He even mentioned what to Google to find all the reports of this unreliable drive, but that turned out to be unreliable information, it didn't exist
    • With the cost of SSD drives falling it is not hard to justify an upgrade if you are still using mechanical hard drives.
    • thanks to sam b that made calls and returned calls to me to apricorn and mike there stayed on phone tell cloning was done,,,, Great tech service drive is awesume ten year warranty with tech support you can rely on makes it a great drive

    • SanDisk Extreme Pro 480GB Solid State DriveManufacturer: SanDiskAmazon price: $335.00This solid state SATA drive is a speed demon
    • So far so good - speedy, quiet drive
    • In addition to speed, a solid state drive is totally silent, no whirring disk, no mechanical delays, no moving parts at all
    • Good drive and got a great deal on it.
    • When I tried to set up ready-boost with a USB 3.0 thumb drive on Windows 7 Ultimate, I received a message stating that this hard drive is so fast, ready boost would actually slow the system down
    • I love this drive!!!
    • In the past few years manufacturers have been driven to produce hard drives that use less power and SSD's no longer have a decisive advantage, unless your machine is old
    • drives.+/- Memory in a SSD does wear out over time with normal usage, unlike traditional hard drives
    • I put the drive in my laptop and WOW!
    • I spent $150 maxing out the ram which helped, moved as much off the hard drive to an external as I could to free up hard drive space.
    • Very good hard drive.
    • The performance is stellar and it is the fastest drive I have used so far

    • Super fast drives.
    • but the hard drive has been its Achilles heel.
    • Only problem was removing screw of bracket holding hard drive in place
    • 9.5 mm hard drives are still available for replacement, just not used in design
    • The SanDisk software also thinks the drives are fine
    • By far one of the fastest Hard drives I have ever used
    • BEST drives for the money, easy setup Great dashboard
    • Just copying files from my slower drive gave me, I achieved copy speeds of 240 Mbps

    • Set the SSD in the laptop where the hard drive was and slide the connector in place.
    • I would recommend this as a boot drive for anyone

    • I think we're talking a margin of $40 or $50 for this superior-tested drive
    • I have put this SSD in an enclosure to use as a portable drive for the time being... and it is working fantastically
    • Replaced harddrive in a late 2008 Macbook Pro, after first cloning hard drive via a cable to the Scan Disk SSD
    • The only reason I havent ripped out my Super Drive and put one in that space as well is that my system architecture wount support it
    • Excellent hard drives for my new system.
    • Great drive, very happy with performance, been using daily as main OS drive for months without any complaints.
    • but I also read that the browser does access the hard drive when browsing.
    • I've since formatted the old Macbook hard drive, removed the mounting
    • If you are cloning a drive (cloning = you already have a computer with a hard drive and want to completely copy everything, including the operating system, from the old hard drive to the new SSD drive), you will need a way to connect the new SSD drive to your computer.
    • This drive is fast!!!
    • SATA SSD / Hard Drive ConverterWhy do you need this?
    • Or use a standard hard drive for Virtual Memory, but I prefer the first option.
    • Extremely fast drive, minor issue installing, but had immediate support from sandisk via chat.
    • Infuriating for such an expensive drive.
    • I use it with my Shogun video recorder for filming and then keep the files on the hard drive for editing between multiple computers.
    • My mechanical Hard Drive 300GB old drive died
    • This means these drives are NOT good for archival purposes which is too bad.

    • I upgraded from another SSD (I primarily upgraded to increase my hard drive capacity, not for the speed), and I could actually notice a difference in speed, which I did not expect at all.
    • Apricorn SATA Wire Notebook Hard Drive Upgrade Kit with USB 3.0 Connection ASW-USB3-25.Just plug the new drive into the Apricorn cable, plug the Apricorn cable into one of your USB ports, run Apricorn software (full auto works for most people).
    • Fast drive, ten year warranty...
    • I looked up how to select the external (SSD) as my startup disk for the Macbook (have the computer ignore the installed drive on start up and load the OS from the external/SSD).
    • Using the Sandisk Dashboard I cloned my existing drive , quite easy to do actually, and some of the initial transfers took a while but that was kind of to be expected
    • Very good drive for the money.
    • Plus as it is overpriced for the performance you receive and if you have to spend a little more and get a much better drive then you will be a lot happier that you did, but for people who aren't a techy then I would recommend you stay with a Samsung Evo or an Intel ssd as those 2 both are user
    • I can sit in my home office in complete silence, no longer listening to that annoying hard drive always working away--it is amazing how nice silence can be
    • I upgraded my 500GB HD to the SanDisk 960GB Solid State Drive in my 2009 MacBook Pro laptop.

    • Installed it on a MacBook Pro mid 2012 and works great!Used this website to transfer out my data from my old hard drive to my new SSD
    • Love these drives
    • I've been using only for about 24 hours but here is the review: the drive is so fast that the computer feels faster than when it was new, I can even preview my 4K videos recorded from my phone and also fixed the photos app crash while trying to import a bunch of said videos
    • I've had some hard drives for years and years, and I think this will be an even more solid investment for a long time to come...with long-term durability in mind.

    • This is your hard drive at warp speed.
    • Macrium was easy to use, but it took a while to clone my hard drive onto the SSD.
    • I put together a 4790K system, very fast, and for the boot drive I researched SSD's and this came up as the fastest or nearly so, the overall fastest SATA drive I could buy
    • It's one of the fastest and most consistent drives I've ever played with, and I applaud SanDisk for putting something like this together that strikes such a good balance between read and write demands
    • I have no problem recommending this drive, it is top-quality all the way.
    • I use two of these hard drives with Inateck USB 3 external enclosure that is a tool-free design when I go on photography workshops.
    • and I don’t constantly hear the hard drive
    • I recently converted an older Windows XP system over to Linux and I could tell that my hard drive was the choke point in performance.
    • FANTASTIC...could never go back to a HARD DRIVE!
    • Windows repaired itself for boot and because I had connected the SSD to where the old hard drive had been, it was already the first in the boot sequence
    • If you have a problem deleting a primary partition to use the HDD in your new enclosure, with Windows use diskpart and do a search for "using diskpart to clean a drive" and maybe even the first hit will walk you right through it
    • I have no problem recommending this drive, it is top-quality all the way.
    • So, the bottom line is that this is a good drive, and if it does not melt down tomorrow i plan to keep it for a long time.
    • good hard drive
    • You will not go wrong replacing your slow hard drive.
    • Clean up and back up your hard drive

    • One of the fastest drives on the market.
    • I chose not to use the free software offer included with the SSD to clone my plextor SSD hard drive to this new one
    • This SanDisk Extreme II internal solid-state drive is great
    • The drive is good and fast
    • Came with 1TB 5400rpm Hard Drive.
    • Now I have a fast main drive and a full TB hard-drive in the machine
    • I've had numerous solid state drives, including Intel SSD520, Intel SSD530, OCZ, ADATA, Samsung, Crucial.
    • It also makes a great laptop/notebook drive, or to stick into an external USB drive case since their are no moving parts - much more drop resistant, requires less power, and generates less heat than a drive with a spinning platter.
    • Love my new SSD drive it's supa fast!
    • Impressive I/O speeds!
    • After several tedious e-mail exchanges they said I could return it, which I did 6 months ago
