SanDisk Extreme PRO 240GB SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5-Inch 7mm Height Solid State Drive (SSD)

    • This thing promised a lot, according to everything I read, but it is not until you install it and witness it working is that you realize what people mean
    • The most amazing thing about it all is the fact that SSD technology had improved to even faster drives than this one but this one is light years ahead of an old spinning Hard Drive
    • Quite simply these things are fast fast fast
    • Geez, this thing is fast.

    • This software is easier for the non-geek because it does one thing exceeding well--clone your disk.
    • This thing is great - and I'm a Samsung bigot/fan
    • love this thing.

    • Best thing I could have bought
    • Despite all of these great things, I love how you never have to listen to a hard drive spin.
    • The other great thing is that they are increasingly coming in large sizes, this model is available in 480gbs and 960gbs, the prices are steep, but unlike a few years ago it's actually doable.

    • The first thing I noticed on first boot was the complete lack of any spin-up sound, as well as absolutely no vibration
    • Great bonus' to this product! One curious thing though.

    • Skip the advice about writing zeros, reinstalling OS, AHCI, Alignment, I've done all the things in this sentence, and the driveperforms barely as well as the Extreme ("Extreme one", not two or pro, etc), even though the new drive is supposed to be much more modern
    • Impressive I/O speeds!
    • right at 8 seconds on my gaming desktop which has an FX-9590 AMD processor on an Asus ROG Crosshair V Formula Z motherboard with 16gb of G-Skill Trident Z DDR 3 2400mhz memory and of course 2 of these extreme pro's running in raid 0 and I topped it off with an EVGA GTX 980 ti hybrid for video
    • Solid State Drive (SV300S37A/120G), started becoming corrupted due to some sort of fault
    • very happy compared to my rapter 10,000rpm 300g hard drive
