Sangean RCR-22 AM/FM Tuning Clock Radio (White)

    • great radio and alarm only complaint is i can not see the time unless i am on top of it.
    • Things I really like:-Atomic clock works well-Easy to tune radio and easy to set presets-Duel alarms-Easy to adjust brightness and volume-Alarms that can be set for weekdays/weekends/daily/one time-nice sounding speaker (not a Bose but that is ok)Things that are not deal breakers but could use some improvements:-different color display/adjustable color-slightly bigger buttons on face for controls or move them to different location-wish for a way to have "alarm" light gradually increases vs. full on.-better packaging
    • Really good alarm clock
    • The two alarms are nice so that you can set a weekday and weekend alarm.
    • Because of that, I keep an inexpensive Timex atomic alarm clock handy.
    • Too difficult to program and the alarm looks like your in the middle of an atomic blast because of the flashing light
    • This clock radio is the best alarm clock I have ever owned
    • as advertised, alarm is soft to loud so you can turn it off without really disturbing anyone or leave it get to loud to get you out of bed!
    • This is a great bedroom alarm clock.
    • i like the 2 alarms
    • Lucky for me, I decided that alarm was more important than the clock face.
    • You could presumably set an alarm for 7:30 a.m. and the clock might lose three hours in the middle of the night, which meant the alarm actually would go off at 10:30 a.m
    • Great sound, excellent alarm system and great overall appearance
    • I like a good, loud alarm
    • The alarms are very easily set and regarding day of week?
    • It worked great for about 9-10 months, then the alarm began randomly not working.
    • The display clearly shows AM and PM (if any of you have ever made that mistake setting the alarm) and the display also shows the next alarm time also with AM and PM indicators
    • The BIG downside is the alarm is so bright and the 2 dimming levels still lights up the room at night
    • I really like the alarm that starts softly and picks up steam if I don't shut it off or snooze it
    • Like the dual alarms..
    • Setting the time and the alarms are not too bad if I follow the instructions carefully.
    • Atomic clock, dims to where I can sleep, and a very gentle awakening alarm.
    • I would recommend this to anyone that has been unhappy with their cheap alarm clocks.
    • The alarm is reliable and gradually increases in sound level
    • Great sound, great time-keeping (once it's set), great alarm features, easy to use (once you figure it out).
    • It has a versatile dual alarm; each of 2 alarms can be separately set to operate once, daily, or only on weekdays or weekends, and to sound either a buzzer or the radio
    • Improved alarm programming to allow for different times to be set for each day of the week.
    • Alarm can be heard well
    • This device is excellent easy to set up if you use it for what it’s intended for excellent sound from the radio easy alarm setup cool blue light that is dimmable Please use manual setting for ease of use do not rely on the Atomic option doesn’t work in most places manual settings will make you breeze through it bypass all the unnecessary options available with this radio use it as a clock radio alarm you will not be disappointed this device has an actual AC plug not a converter that makes noise the alarm is gentle will not wake up the dead
    • For the price of this Sangean, (and having to self program) there is no comparison to the used-to-be Smart alarm.
    • I wish the snooze period was adjustable like on some cheaper alarm clocks
    • Over all I would recommend this radio to anyone looking for a small, inexpensive, dual alarm with no reservations
    • Fri at a certain time and the second alarm could be set for Tue and Thu at a different time, etc.)The alarm offers a Humane Waking System (the alarm gets progressively louder rather than jolting you out of bed)Adjustable alarm buzzer sound levelYou can wake up to the alarm buzzer or to a specific AM or FM stationLike most clocks, the RCR-22 offers a snooze functionRadio FeaturesMany of the clocks out on the market today seem include a radio just so that it can be called a clock radio - often times the radio quality tends to be horrible and the reception tends to be not so great
    • So, a great radio, good sound, decent screen, and a solid alarm clock.
    • These are my favorite features:- Humane alarm starts very softly and gradually increases in volume rather than jolting you all at
    • The alarm took awhile to figure out but it works well

    • Only these units offer the clever and practical alarm feature: each of both alarms can be set togo off on specific days of the week (e.g. Wed and Fri at
    • Nice alarm features, such as being able to choose the station to wake to
    • This device is excellent easy to set up if you use it for what it’s intended for excellent sound from the radio easy alarm setup cool blue light that is dimmable Please use manual setting for ease of use do not rely on the Atomic option doesn’t work in most places manual settings will make you breeze through it bypass all the unnecessary options available with this radio use it as a clock radio alarm you will not be disappointed this device has an actual AC plug not a converter that makes noise the alarm is gentle will not wake up the dead
    • I like that the alarm is not jarring and the light can be dimmed.
    • Atomic clock, dims to where I can sleep, and a very gentle awakening alarm.
    • Really like have two alarms, one for weekday and one for weekend.
    • This is an amazing alarm clock
    • Perhaps they occur at night when I am asleep because at least twice the clock "forgot" an alarm was set during the night and failed to go off
    • As a side note: Smart alarm used to produce a very inexpensive atomic clock radio.
    • If you want it back "Make me a deal"!:Also, the alarm is hard to program .Waste of money.
    • However, if you work 5 days a week, Alarm 1 is devoted to alarming for these days
    • Because the atomic clock feature never worked and my not liking the sound, I am not able to report on how well the alarm aspects of this clock radio work
    • policy.)The RCR-22 is very nice in many ways: good FM reception, good atomic clock reception, dual alarms with day-of-week flexibility, etc
    • I would like to push one or two buttons and have it set, like normal inexpensive alarm clocks, but NO!
    • Great radio with all the functional workings I was looking for (wake up to music radio of my choice, at a very low volume so not to wake others, brightness adjustment to as low or high as you prefer, multiple alarms where I determine the days & times vs every day or weekdays/weekends, etc.).
    • I finally found an alarm clock that works the same every morning
    • Best alarm clock I've ever owned
    • Could use a programable snooze, light is a little bright, otherwise is a good alarm radio
    • Great alarm clock.
    • I like a good, loud alarm
    • It sounds great and it's the best alarm clock I've ever owned.
    • If you just want a nice alarm clock that is easy to set and not be a pain in the neck to set .... this is NOT FOR YOU
    • I don't like the way you have to preset the alarm - not very user friendly.
    • The device has a “nap” function, which is an alarm preset for a certain period of time, so you don’t have to fuss with your preferred alarm setting.
    • The alarm is good enough for me.4
    • but I really like the alarm
    • Sturdy, lightweight, compact, and modern in appearance with a soulful (and light adjustable) indigo readout, crystal-clear reception, synchronized timekeeping, two humane-waking "alarms," seven am/fm presets, and a nap mode, this well-thought-out and easy to set up and operate unit hits all of the stops when it comes to the latest in radio technology and functionality
    • I took a long while to choose a replacement for my Oregon Scientific Atomic Radio Alarm Clock (which I would rate mediocre) because I wanted to make sure I didn't repeat the same mistakes that I made buying that one (bad radio and BRIGHT display). The Sangean has so many features that I like, for instance, two alarms, excellent digital radio reception, great speaker, 7 programmable preset radio station buttons, & more
    • So, this is an expensive clock radio for less than a year of reliable alarm work.
    • Now the problem is the alarm functions - they worked fine on the first unit in both buzzer and radio mode but don't work at all on this one.
    • Because the alarm set up can be tedious, they included a nice little nap feature
    • The progressive alarm (starts at low volume and gets increasingly louder) is much more civilized than the usual shocking wake up of my previous alarm clocks.
    • Setting number one alarm was fairly easy.
    • I love the two fully independent alarms.
    • Once it gets its signal, it's fine and the alarm is great and the radio is decent
    • Alarm is nice because on the newer version which I have, the radio volume starts low and builds to whatever maximum you have set
    • The ability to pick the days you want the alarm to go off (weekdays but not weekends) is great as well as having two alarms.
    • Just love the humane alarms on the buzzer and radio.
    • I don't need a Bluetooth enabled internet MP3 player to wake up in the morning, but it would be nice to have a reliable alarm that sounds at the correct time
    • Hard to believe that such an excellent and affordable alarm clock with automatic radio shut off is no longer available.
    • If my auto sync hadn't kicked in, my alarm wouldn't be working properly because the clock wouldn't know what day of the week it was
    • Great Alarm, nice to wake up to.
    • The dual alarms work just fine and allow me to alternate for my different work patterns.
    • I especially like the humane alarm sound and the atomic clock
    • This is the radio I have been waiting for---I have searched for a radio with great reception and alarms in stores and on the Net.
    • It worked great for about 9-10 months, then the alarm began randomly not working.
    • I appreciate the alarms that ramp up the volume over time.
    • This is a very good alarm clock and radio
    • The alarm features I like, variable alarm beeper, multiple alarms, variable intensity on the display.
    • If you have to wake up at 4 AM to go to the airport you want an alarm radio you can trust
    • I like the two alarms which allow me to set by days of the week.
    • The alarm flexibility
    • What I like best is the wide range of features and options; the best is the "humane" alarm; I don't wake upto a fire drill every morning!
    • Unlike a lot of clock radios that pop up if you search for "atomic clock radio," this one has a true WWVB-set clock for atomic precision, along with an AM/FM radio (with digital tuning) and a versatile alarm clock
    • Sure, there's a dimmer knob on the bottom of the unit that the manual doesn't even mention, but it doesn't do anything but dim the glowing red alarm switch
    • ; Nap function was a must for me, only works with the beeper and not the radio though; the sleep timer is activated by "long pressing" on the power on/off button; dual alarms with either 7-day, weekday or weekends; seven (
    • I set two wake-up alarms and they are working independently correct
    • My wife and I have different work schedules and add 3 boys who work and go to school - and staying on time and having multiple alarms is important.
    • If it would auto adjust(when the lights go out), I would call this alarm clock PERFECT!The alarm set up is fairly complex to setup the first time, but the flexability is worth it.
    • Controls not as intuitive as I would like.
    • The radio works as it should and we have figured out most of the features
    • If you hit the snooze button, the light fades back down, then gradually brightens as it comes on again
    • Controls not as intuitive as I would like.
    • The radio works as it should and we have figured out most of the features
    • If you hit the snooze button, the light fades back down, then gradually brightens as it comes on again
    • I like the specialized programming (you can pick any day combinations you like, not just M-F or Sat/Sun)
    • If you work a typical work week (M-F) you'll love that you can set the alarm/radio to wake you up ONLY on weekdays.1.
