Sangean RCR-22 AM/FM Tuning Clock Radio (White)

    • The only issue I had was getting the Atomic clock to set the time automatically.
    • I have to use a large antenna to get a TV signal, so maybe the clock is not defective or maybe it is, but either way, it didn't work.
    • I do like the atomic clock and receiver functions.
    • The tuner and audio sections are quite good for a small radio, the atomic clock is awesome, the display is perfect, and the logic of the UI is perfect
    • Things I really like:-Atomic clock works well-Easy to tune radio and easy to set presets-Duel alarms-Easy to adjust brightness and volume-Alarms that can be set for weekdays/weekends/daily/one time-nice sounding speaker (not a Bose but that is ok)Things that are not deal breakers but could use some improvements:-different color display/adjustable color-slightly bigger buttons on face for controls or move them to different location-wish for a way to have "alarm" light gradually increases vs. full on.-better packaging
    • Best radio alarm clock I ever owned
    • Great clock radio all around.
    • Really good alarm clock
    • Great Clock.
    • Great clock
    • I'm a very proud owner of the RCR-22 - the best atomic clock radio out there right now.
    • So, this is an expensive clock radio for less than a year of reliable alarm work.
    • Overall it's a good clock radio, but some of the details of design could use work.
    • I can safely say, without a doubt, that the RCR-22 is the best atomic clock radio out on the market today
    • I have an atomic clock and it works wonderfully,
    • Because of that, I keep an inexpensive Timex atomic alarm clock handy.

    • I already had a thirty-year old clock radio that worked okay
    • This clock is three seconds slow setting the time.
    • Once set, the clock worked just as it should and the light dimming feature (located on the bottom of the radio by the way) is great
    • I really like how pretty it look , and its quality , which is what I really wanted in a good clock radio
    • The other thing is since it's an atomic clock accurate to the second all the time, I expected it to show seconds, it doesn't.
    • This is an attractive and functional clock radio.
    • I can't believe a clock this relatively expensive can have such awful sound
    • This is the best clock that I have ever owned.
    • It's a good clock, better than 98 per cent of other clock radios

    • This is a very good clock radio.
    • until either satellite technology improves or else they figure out how to make the clock so the atomic option works better.

    • An astounding radio (and clock I suppose)
    • This clock is vey good.
    • This a terrific little clock radio, with a lot of features and but not too complicated to set up ( but still be sure to read all the instructions, as for example , the atomic clock need some time to synchronize)It includes an AM, FM radio with good sound.
    • Atomic clock, dims to where I can sleep, and a very gentle awakening alarm.
    • I had trouble activating the atomic clock.
    • The downside: it's rather expensive compared to other clock radios and other "atomic" clocks (but still the cheapest "atomic" clock radio I could find), and the instruction manual is geared toward European users, and doesn't quite match the North American model
    • However, the LED clock in the radio NEVER kept the correct time!
    • If the buttons worked perfectly, it would be a fine radio alarm clock and I'd have no complaints
    • About six months after the purchase, the clock would randomly lose three hours.
    • (Update on 15 Jul 2012: This issue appears to have stabilized as only a minor annoyance.)In spite of these complaints, I still highly recommend this clock.
    • The clock itself is great.
    • and I love the auto clock.
    • Like the story of Goldilocks and the three bears, it seems like most clock radios available are way too basic or way too complex
    • If I recall correctly, I bought this clock last year, having bought it as a Christmas present for myselfOn the very first day I got it, the Atomic Clock feature didn't work, and couldn't be MADE to work either, even after leaving it out on my porch all day
    • The clock functions well and reliably as advertised but has two features that are somewhat annoying.

    • Absolutely love this clock, after figuring out how to use it!
    • Great radio, clock and timers are a bit tricky to set up til you get used to the sequence of how to set them up.
    • There is a dimming feature, which is adjustable, but the user must press the button each time they wish to dim or un-dim the clock
    • Also, the atomic clock doesn't work, but I don't mind setting the clock manually.
    • I would recommend this to anyone that has been unhappy with their cheap alarm clocks.
    • I'm back to using a not so amazing clock with a battery backup.
    • I had hoped that the HD radio would have better reception and the atomic clock was just an added benefit.
    • So to sum up: if you are tired of cheap clock radios, or whatever is on the shelf at your bricks-n-mortar store of choice; the Sangean RCR-22 is worthy of serious consideration
    • great Clock Radio, took awhile to find the NOAA connection
    • Great clock but not for technophobes or the like
    • Once you get that figured out the clock is very easy to use

    • The bottom line is that it may be the best clock radio on the market right now.
    • brightness is ez ...10 to 0 a nice clock radio.
    • So, a great radio, good sound, decent screen, and a solid alarm clock.
    • we have tried a great many radio/clocks for our bedside, but this one, by far, delivers the best sound
    • Anyway, I found that there just aren't that many clock radios with presets available, the Sangean RCR-22 available at Amazon being about the cheapest I could find (though still almost four times the price of the Sony that self destructed after a day and a half).
    • Accurate clock.
    • The feature that I want to address most, because I think it has caused many reviewers to unfairly criticize the clock, is the brightness of the display.
    • GreatIf you are looking for a good clock radio for your bedroom, this may the one for you
    • The clock is very accurate and the the sound quality is quite good.

    • Great clock radio.
    • best clock radio i have ever had
    • The only feature I wish this clock had was auto dimming
    • I like that the clock keeps itself accurate by syncing with an atomic time standard on a regular basis

    • The Atomic Clock is nice, and mine registered about 5 minutes after plugging it in.
    • Really like this clock.

    • Anyway, the Sangean is probably a good clock radio and for fm listening but this was not my reason for buying the radio and so it did not perform to my expectations for a moderately priced unit

    • * Fairly sensitive and selective AM and FM tuningAll in all a fine little clock radio that never drifts on the time unlike all others I've had, So I frequently use it to sync my wrist-watches and other clocks.
    • I would like to see a better manual, autodimming of the display (it is BRIGHT when set to max), Sangean using a designer that is somewhat current, and perhaps a user manual rewrite, other than that, this clock works very well and will be on my nightstand for years to come
