Industrial design is horrible

This is a well-designed product of excellent quality that met all my expectations for a radio alarm clock with very good sound.

Why not a mono instead of a stereo jack Good design but AM reception 90 miles away not the best.

Digital tuning with 14 presets, clock and date set automatically by the "atomic" clock in Colorado, good reception, two alarms (beeper or radio) which can be set on or off for each day of the week, a beautiful and compact design, and now, a beautiful blue display with white numbers and letters which can be seen from any angle, and can be dimmed for nighttime with one push of a button

I just hope the first clock/radio isn't representative of Sangean QA.The radio seems well designed, programming it is intuitive and it offers all of the key features I was seeking

This is my first Sangean purchase, and while I was a bit skeptical because I had not heard of this manufacturer before, I can say with confidence that this clock is well-designed and well-thought-out.

The radio is a solid design and the options are great.

I actually consider this a good design decision by the manufacturer because I understand a super capacitor is used as back-up for up to an hour

; I wanted a power failure backup system so that it wouldn't lose time; I wanted a true atomic clock that synchronized with the US cesium clock in Colorado; I wanted a well-designed and well-made unit that was user-friendly and would last a long time

Now, the primary reason why I consider the lack of a back-up battery to be a good design decision: because I use an uninteruptable power supply to backup all the critical electronic components for my office/bedroom, including my cable modem, router, clock radio and computer

It's very user friendly and the design is very intuitive.

I expect this well designed radio to last a very long time and can recommend it.

This product is very well designed, yet receives some bad reviews due to misunderstanding the product, contributed to by a less than stellar job on the manual

And choose something else if you want a sleek post-Apple design; this machine looks like something out of the 1970s

With the limitations indicated this radio is still a great buy, performs very well and is very nicely designed.
