Sangean RCR-22 AM/FM Tuning Clock Radio (White)

    • The atomic feature works perfectly and was "locked in" in less than a minute.
    • I'd never spent so much on an alarm clock in my life,, but it looked good,, and the features sounded good
    • Manual needs work to explain all the nice features of clock
    • Great features at a good price.
    • I love this radio it has great features and I have been getting great compliments on it
    • Because the alarm set up can be tedious, they included a nice little nap feature
    • This clock has many great features, including multiple station settings.
    • Well, it has every single feature on my wish list and it sounds great
    • And once you get used to it, the features are easy to use.
    • A nice feature they have added is that when the display is in the low level setting (adjustably dim for a dark room) anytime you change stations the display reverts to the bright display mode for about 10 seconds and then goes back to the dim display
    • The best, and unusual, feature is that you can turn the backlight all the way off, so it's not sucking power or distracting me as I'm going to sleep.
    • I love the Digital Radio tuning feature
    • Lots of great features--you can see the time of the alarm, the light connected to the alarm button goes red if the alarm is planning to go off in the next 24 hours, and the best feature--and impossible to find--is you can set the alarm to go off on any particular day(s) that you want--not just daily, weekends or Monday to Saturday.
    • this is a great feature because 1 week iwork 3 days and the next week i work 4 days.
    • so I read up on it and discovered that it has lots of nice features
    • THE NEXT MORNING.ANOTHER REALLY NICE FEATURE
    • * Variable brightness control on bottom of radio is a nice feature for keeping display very dim at night
    • The capacitor backup is a great feature and has prevented me.from having to reset my alarms after an hour long power outage and no need to replace batteries
    • It is a well crafted radio with great features worth every penny you will pay
    • So, downfall--too bright at nite; positive features outweigh that many times, especially for the price.
    • Since we just passed the "new" Daylight Savings date, I really appreciate the feature to just push a button to have the clock make the switch, my old Timex still thinks it's the old
    • Love the sleep feature.
    • Radio stations come in strong and being able to set the alarm for different days and different times is the best feature ever.
    • five minute increments is a very nice feature.
    • Being able to set the days and times to your liking is a great feature
    • I think it is a bit overpriced, but does have some really nice features.
    • I love the atomic clock feature which automatically adjusted for daylight savings.
    • Nice features such as headphone jack, line in and atomic clock
    • Every other feature about this radio is great as mentioned by the other reviewers
    • Great sound, great time-keeping (once it's set), great alarm features, easy to use (once you figure it out).
    • The any button is a snooze button is a nice feature in the morning
    • If has the right features for a clock/alarm/radio combo., including an alarm that WILL wake you, which for me, is most important as I'm a deep sleeper
    • I has a nice feature in that there are 2 alarms and you can set each one to go off on certain days of the
    • This is a highly important feature of a radio alarm clock since most people will have it on their nightstand and don't want a bright light keeping them awake.
    • and it's an awesome feature to have.
    • This particular radio had all the features I wanted, with a couple that will probably never be used, like the "nap" function.
    • it's a good clock radio with good features that work as advertised.
    • Best feature is the way the dual alarms work
    • It's attractive and has some very nice features.
    • Another nice feature is if you set the alarm to play the radio but that station isn't being picked up the unit reverts to a standard beep alert so you don't miss getting up on time.
    • The two alarms wake me for my favorite features on the radio - and tunning is digital.
    • This feature just did not work.
    • Only these units offer the clever and practical alarm feature: each of both alarms can be set togo off on specific days of the week (e.g. Wed and Fri at
    • Touching any button on the top of the device will activate a 5-minute snooze - an excellent feature
    • Nice alarm features, such as being able to choose the station to wake to
    • Nice feature that radio starts soft and gets louder
    • The Sanger RCR-22 has a lot of great features and is a worthy replacement
    • <gr>.The scan feature (activated by momentarily holding down the tuning button) works reasonably well, but sometimes will stop on the edge of a station's frequency band
    • Too bad most of the user-friendly features were left out (or maybe my wife & I are just too picky).
    • The Atomic Clock is also a VERY NICE feature, you know the time is always right.
    • Other clock radios (Timex I think) have a cool 'sleep timer' feature that this one lacks
    • Not crazy about the "gentle wake-up" feature where the sound goes from quiet to normal setting over a number of seconds
    • Best features
    • Because of the flexible nature of my weekly schedules I can't use the convenient "every day" feature
    • The alarm clock I got doesn't have Sun through Sat labels on the top seven preset buttons, and, seemingly, is not capable if setting alarms for individual weekdays -- which for me is an important feature
    • Sure, you can dim the light, which is a nice feature, BUT when you dim it to an acceptable level you can no longer read the display.
    • The alarm gradually increasing in volume is a very nice feature
    • This one has useable features and seems very well made (I haven't dropped it or anything, but it seems well made, the plastic is good quality).
    • The manual does tell you how to DO everything, but does not explain WHY certain things work the way they do, or explain the various nice features someone clearly took time to think through
    • This radio was hard to set and not easy to use and with questionable features.
    • It does have some features that I appreciate, like the ability to dim the display with the push of a button
    • I was a bit disapointed to see that many features were omitted.
    • The nap feature makes it hard to change it to another station - unless a particular alarm is turned off first
    • The numbers are easy to read and the features you have programmed for it to do, show up on the lighted face.
    • Many good features, including the atomic clock.
    • It has great features and the radio reception is marvelous
    • it has a ton of great features but that one little button eluded me for a couple of days
    • * Variable brightness control on bottom of radio is a nice feature for keeping display very dim at night
    • The adjustable back lighting for the display is also a nice feature.
    • The feature is not available to wake with the radio.
    • A nice feature they have added is that when the display is in the low level setting (adjustably dim for a dark room) anytime you change stations the display reverts to the bright display mode for about 10 seconds and then goes back to the dim display
    • It had some nice features - auxiliary input for our mp3, no ipod dock (YAAYH!), multiple alarms, humane waking system, atomic clock, capacitor to keep clock going for an hour or so if unplugged or power goes out, etc
    • These features are nearly impossible to find in brick and mortar stores today.
    • This clock radio has a lot of great features, but my unit had a fatal flaw: Alarm #1 sounds exactly 4 hours early in ADDITION to the properly set time
    • There is a "dim" feature but it only affects the lights that show the alarm(s) are set.
    • The nap feature is great along with the way the alarm clock works
    • Nice basic features
    • Another cool feature is that you can lower the brightness level, but once the alarm turns on, it automatically goes bright so that you can clearly see the time
    • The unit I received this time is a 'new improved digital' version with out some of the wonderful features as my old model
    • There are many good features on this clock radio but the controls are a bit complicated and not very intuitive, so READ THE INSTRUCTIONS...twice would be helpful
    • I love the gentle wake up feature, but I can't overcome the fact that one day this alarm clock will fail me when I need it to pull through with a battery backup
    • Atomic function worked great, the alarms set to the day of the week is a great feature, and the sound is very good for a clock radio
    • I also like the feature of setting an alarm for weekdays or just a one time alarm
    • I'm just not a fan of the Humane feature (gradual volume increase) as I like to be violently awakened
    • I checked reviews and found the Sangean was noted for excellent radio reception, as well as numerous other features that made the radio very attractive
    • The slow increase of sound is a nice feature
    • By comparison, the same features are available from CC Crane for $100 more than I paid for this one.
    • The radio is attractive and works as advertised except of one important feature.
    • It's a feature rich model that does what it says.
    • -The ascending alarm is a nice feature
    • only once which is a very nice feature to keep from having to remember to turn on or off your alarm over the weekend.
    • That being said, this is a great radio, with great features, and I bought it from Amazon at a great price!!
    • the gentle wake up feature, the pre-set buttons, and the looks of this radio.
    • The coolest feature about this product is the "info" button
    • It has a lot of nice features
    • There are enough worthwhile features such that I tolerate these design flaws, but I would not buy this again.
    • I, too like the Sangean RCR-22 for it's great reception and features
    • - setup and programming is not straight forward, nothing for 'dummies', see below- the price is high compared to other brand name productsQuite a few owners and users complained about the RCR-22, mainly due to the chaotic feature changes and complexsetup, see other reviews here and elsewhere worldwide
    • The sound quality is good, and the station selector buttons are a good feature.
    • It's compact and easy to use, and it has very nice features.
    • The functionality of setting the days of the week to have the alarm activated is a great feature (without needing to physically turn off the alarm on the weekends)
    • Again, no mention in the manual of what turned out to be a very nice feature, and
    • All the other features are great - I mean if they made this with standard lights and not the backlit feature that they did, it would have received a 5 star rating
    • I'm very happy with the Sangean alarm clock -- its features are great.
    • The Nap feature is great.
    • I love the feature of being able to program different alarm times on different days.
    • The only feature I've missed on the clock is the ceiling time projection, but my wife hates that anyway.
    • Nice features and sound for it's size
    • So many useful features and great build quality.
    • It has other nice features but ultimately it is a disappointment.
    • Features are numerous, some features not available on any other radio I found.
    • Great product with great features
    • -The ascending alarm is a nice feature
    • This is a very nice feature, however, it does have some drawbacks as I will explain further below
    • nice features, poor quaity
    • Great radio reception & features
    • The automatic time adjustment works well and the features are logical
    • This one has so many other good features, I'm keeping it.
    • Although it has some very good features, it has a "fatal flaw" for me:
    • Unit works and looks great, I am still learning new features about it
    • Atomic function worked great, the alarms set to the day of the week is a great feature, and the sound is very good for a clock radio
    • The "atomic" clock setting feature works better than the other two "atomic set" clocks I have in the house - so far it has never missed setting itself overnight where my other clocks that set from the National Time Station will miss a day occasionally.
    • I really missed that feature
    • Controls not as intuitive as I would like.
    • The radio works as it should and we have figured out most of the features
    • If you hit the snooze button, the light fades back down, then gradually brightens as it comes on again
